He is the top Mets prospect and, with Christian Scott on the recovery shelf, one of the ripest ones on the pitching side too.
He has a good chance to open as high as Syracuse, where he finished relatively meekly last season after strong partial campaigns through Brooklyn and Bingo. He only got four inning in big-league camp but that gave him a chance to show off his old-school backup slider and his older-school seventies appearance. Seriously, he looks like he should be driving a dirt bike through a Roger Corman movie.
What his next act will be is the question on the table.
