When was the last time there was no Sunday game scheduled?
It's probably happened before, maybe multiple times, but I can't remember the last Sunday the Mets weren't scheduled to play a game.
Are you curious who the woman in my avatar is? She has nothing to do with the Mets but everything to do with this website.

Every Sunday since last fall, I mean, unless we're counting stupid Florida games.

I didn't want to go through each season individually, so I asked both Grok and ChatGPT and they were both having a humdinger of a time coming up with an answer.

It's the C-C-C-CA-RAIZIEST thing. Not since the Blue Law days, which predate the franchise.

I seem to remember the Padres having an empty Sunday on their schedule years ago, maybe because of a papal visit? I'm not sure.

I think it’s illegal in PA to play professional baseball or football. Not enforced though
Edit: law was repealed a couple years ago

When Padres shared Jack Murphy with Chargers, they had to work around their co-tenants’ schedule, which meant the occasional Saturday off for August NFL exhibitions (same for Rockies and Broncos at Mile High). I wouldn’t be surprised if September Sundays worked out that way, too.Benjamin Grimm wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 9:54 am I seem to remember the Padres having an empty Sunday on their schedule years ago, maybe because of a papal visit? I do recall the Orioles finished 2001 on a Saturday when everybody else was playing on Sunday so Cal Ripken’s final game didn’t conflict with the Ravens next door.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.
