A dark and at times sad drama set on the island of Inisherin. Bombs and explosions can be see and heard coming from the mainland as the Irish civil war rages on , but all that consumes the locals on this small island is why Colm stopped talking to Padraig.
Superb performances all around, much like the civil war men that were once friends are now fighting, no coincidence that this movie it set in 1923

Watched it this evening and enjoyed it. Great performances and an ending that hints at more. I’ve been a Martin McDonaugh fan for a while. The plays The Beauty Queen of Leenane; The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Hangmen were all good as are the films In Bruges and 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri plus this one. There are several more I haven’t seen but his work is always worth checking out.
