I tried , half hour in when she meets the English guy I stopped, firstly the shaky camera work was distracting, it was all over the place , what was the girl doing there anyway ?

I won't spoil much, she was something of a phony journalist who'd gone there in hopes of gathering a story to sell to a US editor. The soldier who shtupped her had taken her passport and phone so as to "protect" her from antiamerican political forces.
The movie could have or should have been more suspenseful given what happens after she meets the English guy. I thought the look was good.
