Are you effin' kidding me!?!

Cashed it in at 8-2 and I'm not sure I could have stayed up through that game even if it were a 7:10 start.
Also not sure whether to take solace in the comeback or cry over the way they lost it.

I've never liked that Pederson fella. I turned the game off after his 2nd homer.

Pretty encouraging that this team has the ability to fight their way back into games. All the best Mets seasons I can remember have always had that feel.

So, that play in the eighth inning, when Lindor couldn't quite field the grounder by Luis Gonzalez and lay the tag on the Thairo ... there seems to be two mistakes.

1) McNeil recovered the ball, and immediately looked to freeze the lead runner at third (Brandon Crawford), not realizing he still had a force at second.

2) Despite that, he seemed to inadvertantly touch second anyhow, but the Mets dugout didn't call for a review.

This would have been the third out of the inning, and while they eventually got the third out on the next batter when Ottovino struck out Kevin Padlo, it sure would have been nice to have the guy with 26 plate appearances leading off the ninth, with Joc Pederson one batter further away, and Ottovino still not yet deployed.
