Well at least they fought back well in the bottom half of the inning by putting a ball in play (nearly out of the infield!) and getting Quantrill's pitch count into double digits.

Took until the third inning for Carrasco to show up.

Part of the thing with all these first-inning holes is that Mets pitchers returning from the Injured List or suspension seem to take a few innings to settle in the first start or two.

That's possibly a bunch of bullshit, but I dunno. Seems-a like it.
