This game a some similarities to one from June of '18, a Sunday Night game which I was watching in a hospital room.

The Yanx were then starting a young, relatively unknown, starter who, while not a rookie, was in the midst of a break-out season that would end up getting him 3rd in CY voting. Going into the game he was 9-1, 2.20 in 13 starts.
Mets won that one 2-0 on a 5th inning 2R HR by Todd Frazier as starter Seth Lugo (6 inn), Robert Gsellman (2) and Anthony Swarzak (1) shut out the Yanx on 3 hits.

The Yanqui starter that night? Luis Severino.
