Here's two legit ones: Daulton Jefferies and Daulton Varsho were both named after Darren Daulton.

I had to look up Daulton Jefferies, wondering if he was Gregg's son. Turns out he's Blas Minor's nephew.

Mets pitching has impressed me so far this year.

I'm not sure the data since the trade would support that.

Mets should honor a retired number or retire a new one every damn night!

Happy to see them working the second half of that suggestion.

I still think Bader slid too early.
This seems to be a trend I've noticed lately.
You should be accelerating into the base on your slide ... or at least not decelerating so early.

He indeed might have slid early, but he got it done.

Diaz really seems to be still searching for his better stuff, but he got it done and he got it done.

Chapman certainly has some legit beef on a couple of B/S calls.
But he also has himself to blame: too many pitches, inattentive to runners, walks,
and then coughing it up when the chips were all on the table.

Chapman gets himself a two-game suspension over his beefing with the umpire.

The funny thing is that, as bad as the ump was blowing it, he was blowing it both ways. It was a crazy sequence of pitches.

That seems harsh. He was upset about some B/S calls (rightfully so in some cases) and blew off some steam.
Unless he questioned the species of the ump's parentage (and even if he did) I find it odd to see this warranting a suspension.
