Post by ashie62 » Fri May 12, 2023 2:34 pm

A great opportunity for the Mets to a series against a team they should be able to complete with

You know Megill and you know Gore, McKenzie not Al

Jake Alu gets his first start in MLB today

26 years old and a late 2019 draft pick out of Boston College. Good for him

Funk Jay Alu!

Let's not give up first inning runs. Then take it from there.

I have been tuning in a little late, and I think this is the first time in a week I didn't tune in with the Mets already behind.

That said, I tuned in only one out into Washington's evening.

Well, there's the run I was supposed to have missed. I guess the hole isn't my fault after all.

We've got a walk-a-thon in progress here from both sides.

Just for contrast, they're already thru 4 innings in Toronto where the Braves and Jays are scoreless.

Gore vs. McNeil is #1-vs.-#1. I doubt I've ever seen that before. If I have I didn't note it.

Cue Hall & Oates.

I'm tired of hearing about Canha's quiet contributions that "don't show up in the box score". (The first of many: )

I'd prefer some loud contributions that do.
