Hey, kids! There's a game going on. Jeff McNeil is not only back in the lineup, but he's batting leadoff. Mets also giving Ji-Man Choi another look.

Detroit is filling out their card with our old friends Mark Canha and Javier Baez and a whole bunch of last-name-first-name guys.

Colt Keith just ripped one out to give the Tiggs a 2-0 lead. The Detroit booth sounds like a harder-drinking version of Gary Cohen and Ron Darling.

Mets get one back on a Harrison Bader homer. Detroit quickly cancels that with a Riley Green homer.

The score is 3–1 on four solo homers. Baseball in 2024.

Maybe he'll earn the nickname "Master" that Harrison Bader is trying to claim.

Michael Tonkin showing good side-to-side movement.

The tiger face in the Tiger logo always feels like it's too many generations of copies removed from the original. Either that, or it feels like the different colors are printed slightly out of register with each other.

I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it's certainly distincitive.

It looks like a taxidermy tiger from the 19th century. The kind you might see in a rickety old museum.

I expect that that's what they were going for.

Two-run single for Álvarez! Mets lead!

Non-homer offense rules!

RJ Petit, who is definitely NOT petit (6'8", 300), came in to blow away Harrison Bader with the bases loaded.

The Mets still had an out left though, and Zack Short came up and hit a fly that was definitely NOT short, for a slam of grand variety.

Mets rool!! Tigers drool!!

Zach Short read the previous xIGT and said, "I'm not interchangeable!"

And that's it. A 10–5 final score.

Mets are a force. A force for good.
