First start of the season and seventh of his career for the former NYM draft pick Winans (17th round, 2018)
His second and third starts of his career came vs the Mets last August. On Aug 12 he tossed 7 innings of 4-hit shutout ball at CitiField in a game
where the Mets took a narrow 21-3 loss. Nine days later in Georgia he took a blue and orange beating to the tune of 7 ER, 9 hits, 4-1/3 IP in
what became a 10-4 NYM win, one of the five or six games the Mets have won against the Braves during the 21st century.
So now 43% of his ML starts will be against the Mets.
The good news is that it's not currently raining in Atlanta. The bad is that it's expected to start right around game time and not end until
sometime Thursday.
In other words it's gonna be another ...

The Braves grabbed him in the minor-league phase of the 2021 Rule V Draft.

Rainy forecast, though sunny days for Tyler Jay (No. 74) should he make his major league debut in relief of Jose Quintana.

Banged. Tyler Jay will have at least two days as a major leaguer.
The new date is September 26th so that might be the day that the Mets clinch the division title.

Yeah. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the Braves thinking.
The weather tomorrow looks bad, too:
"Thunderstorms in the morning followed by occasional showers in the afternoon. High 71F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Higher wind gusts possible."

Most places this morning still show Jose Quintana vs Winans today at 12:20.
Some other places show Hotlanta getting deluged and under tornado watch.

Weather forecast looks okay. The latest I've seen shows the rain pretty much holding off until around 4 p.m.

We're getting closer to the lineup I envision.
I know it's might be a blow to the ego, but I think Marte in the nine-spot would be really effective, and suggest we might go with:
Nimmo LF
Lindor SS
McNeil 2B
Alonso 1B
Baty 3B
Alvarez C
Stewart DH
Bader CF
Marte RF
Of course, Lindor is hitting right now like he's aiming for the ninth-place spot. Or the eleventh or twelfth.

Rain in the sky, tarp on the field
Rain in the sky, tarp on the field
Gloves not to don, bats not to wield
Umps watch the radar while players play whist
Broadcasters roll eyes but the clouds won't desist
Fans in the exits, the concourse, the clubs
Drink eight-dollar beers from fifty-cent pubs
Each hour growing more grumpy, more few
Eight thousand, six thousand, four thousand, two
But midtown Manhattan cries GET THIS ONE IN!
And few seem to care which team gets the win
'Til at last they come out between drops in the squall
To grind out five farcical innings of ball
