There is a flood watch for DC. With the Mets' flight to London after the game (and the Mets returning in July) I don't expect them to wait too long to "bang" this one.

Biggest game in the history of the franchise!

(I called it. No take-backs. No do-overs.)

They're not going to bang the drum slowly?

Even more Iglesias.

It's not like McNasty's particular problem has been lefthanders, but apparently he's being embargoed against them, and maybe more broadly than that.

Corbin should be easy to beat up on. I know the Nationals pulled a New York Mets by overpaying that overrated veteran way too much money and now they feel obligated to use him, like the Mets keep using Diaz when he's not soaking up a paycheck on the IL, but it still stuns me they've stuck with him this long.

That is to say, he'll probably shut the Mets out 2-0.

Well, it is Washington. Meanwhile a UK-bound charter is

A site called Mets Pennant Chase says Marte dealing with a right knee issue - he'll be available off the bench.

I was hoping at least one Mets starter would make the All-Star team this year. Maybe Severino will be the one.
