Pest Charlie Culberson re-signing with ATL on a minor league deal.

I was misreading and thinking Hamels somehow signed on a minor league deal. No huh-way.

We hate Charlie Culberson, too, but he didn’t have the marquee value to carry the thread title.

SunTrust Park is now Truist Park, which may or may not inspire a line of I’M STILL CALLING IT SUNTRUST t-shirts from Uni-Watch.

So SunTrust, a large bank with a major presence in that area, are out after just a THREE YEAR sponsorship of a brand new stadium?!?!?

This frightens me, just a tiny bit, even though he hasn't had a productive season since 2016, and that was only 25 starts. He's only 33. Well worth a flier.

I'm hoping this isn't chased with an Arenado trade.

He's exhibit A of how hard it is to be an elite pitcher for a long time. Given how much relief pitchers are in short supply, he'd be worth the risk just for that option.

Ozuna is one of those guys who doesn't seem "for real" to me.

Arenado should be on the Mets

I expect Ozuna to be a giant pain in the ass for us all year. Basically, taking that role over from Josh Donaldson who went elsewhere.

Arenado trade rumors are flying around twitter.

Hard to imagine there is any truth to them. If the Mets could afford Arenado, they would have been in on Rendon, who would have cost just money.

That Arenado honeymoon in Denver sure didn't last long.
He's claiming the team made promises to spend elsewhere after they spent on him.
But now the team seems to be gun-shy about throwing big buxx around after their strong pitching of 2018 turned south on them in 2019, so maybe they're not as close as they thought a year ago.
So they've at least talked about trading N.A. just one year into a L-T contract (although he can opt-out after '21) and he's not only not happy about it but hasn't been shy about saying so publicly.

COL wants a catcher and they like Nimmo (who doesn't?) who is from that part of the country. I'm fantasizing about a lineup with Marte in CF and Arenado at 3B.

Starling Marte is Brandon Nimmo, just older and worse. I don't want him anywhere near this team.

Arenado, on the other hand...

Maybe they'd take Cano in return.
