I like when we get head-to-head contest of guys who face each other on the field — wide receivers vs. cornerbacks or offensive tackles vs. defensive ends, and the like.

Pro (1965, 1967–1968). Sixth in voting for 1968
UPI AFL Player of the Year. Sixth in voting for 1969
AP AFL Player of the Year. Five seasons with over
1,000 receiving yards. Led league once (1967) in
receiving yards, once (1965) in touchdown catches,
once (1968) in yards/reception, and twice 1967–
1968) in receiving yards per game. Super Bowl III
Champion. Pro-Football Hall of Famer (1987). Jets
Ring of Honor. Number 13 retired by Jets. All-Time
AFL Team member.
AP Defensive Rookie of the Year (2022), Eighth in
voting for AP Defensive Player of the Year (2022).
First-team All-Pro (2022). Pro-Bowler (2022). Led
league in passes defended by a defensive player
(2022), which is a apparently a thing, and has
been since 1999.
Played a single season in the NFL in 1958, allowing
him to be a rare player to not only participate in
Super Bowl III, but also to take part in the 1958
NFL championship, also known as "The Greatest
Game Ever Played," in which he returned two kicks
and recovered a fumble. He then played a year in
the CFL before becoming a Titan/Jet.
Has partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings to endorse
a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce known as
"Sauce Sauce."

Maynard is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Gardner isn't ... yet.
When both careers are over, this maybe a really tough question, but not now.

Unfortunately, Snacks Harrison (DT, 2012–2015) ended up on the wrong side of the bubble.
