Moon River was our first dance at our wedding.
(It was the first dance at every wedding that year)
Later
I blame Susan Collins

I have never insulted anyone. I simply describe them, accurately.

Gene Chandler's the man. Not enough rock-'n'-rollers wore monocles.

You gotta believe that "Tush" made the top 50 based purely on Stu Collins spinning it religiously.

I could probably sing every one of those songs in its entirety, except Mr Jaws, and yet not even NAME one song from 2023

My first thought was that that's a pretty straight-laced looking group of dudes (and one dudette) for the mid-1970s
and especially so for a bunch of DJs. Then I saw the playlist and, more importantly, the station's frequency and
realized that the picture is not just a year-end station promo but rather one of the last relics from Top-40 AM radio.
The actual death of the news/traffic/current hits format on AM might not have been for another half-dozen years
when 770/WABC in NYC switched to their all-talk format ('81?) but it was certainly on its way out by then.
A similar lineup of FM jocks from the same year would have featured a younger group and contained a lot more
hair and beards. Stu Collins may look a bit like a younger Vin Scelsa but there's no way Vin would be caught
dead being roped in to that kind of playlist.
