My best guess, and it is only a guess mind you, is that Helga is running out and leaving the messy dishes for Hagar to deal with.

That's an oddly contemporary kitchen and recliner, considering we're in Viking time and such.

Helga looks like she's blushing.

Okay, how about this...?

She's dropping a dish towel to lure Hagar to the sink. He thinks it will be for sex among the pots and pans, but she really wants him to help her load the dishwasher, assuming they had dishwashers in the Viking era.

I like the dinner-roll feet Hägar and his people have. I like to think that Bill Watterson learned everything he knows about drawing Calvin's feet from Dik Browne.

That's how I see it - running out while he is napping.

That would make more sense if the stack of pots and pans was behind her. But she's rushing towards the stuff. I know you can argue that she's planning on passing the stack on her way to the door, but if that's the case, the cartoonist didn't stage the panel effectively.

Hagar: Ok, I'll take you to the Mets game if you clean the kitchen first.
Hegla: WOO HOO!!!
Hagar: You dropped your towel.

Hagar closes his eyes and goes back to sleep..

There's a reason why cartoonists refer to realistic representations of humans in comics [Brenda Starr, etc.] vs those with
exaggerated proportions [see above] as 'Little foot' and 'Big foot' drawings.

I thought that too but a little dialogue would’ve helped
