Monday left a pretty bloody landscape: a 5.27 avg score including a 26.7% bust rate (4 of 15) and only two sub-par scores.

When I saw my opening come up S H A _ E my first thought was, 'Oh no, not again!'.
In late March (between rounds) I had the same start and figured I was in good shape for a low score ... Nope!
Cuz after trying SHARE, SHAVE, SHAKE, SHALE, SHAME, and SHAPE I found out the answer was SHADE and
that I had gone from a near Ace to Bust in about 30 seconds. One thing working to my advantage this time is
I knew it wouldn't be SHADE again so that eliminated one possibility and at least assured I wouldn't bust.

Seven choices, six guesses. It can be a bitch.

I started with S H _ _ E (my opening guess has been SHORE since I got my hole-in-one with HORSE last year).

I was lucky in that my second guess was SHAVE. I thought that A was more likely to be the second letter than I or U, and for whatever reason, decided to go with SHAVE over the other choices.
