So....Israel.
Re: So....Israel.
The situation is heating up. Biden just gave a speech telling Iran not to strike at Israel as retaliation to an Israeli strike that killed an Iranian official last week.
In the meantime, we are sending aircraft and ships to the Middle East.

Re: So....Israel.
It isn't over.
The first wave was standard military tactics - an attack in many places to probe and identify weaknesses in a defense.
The next attack (whenever that comes) will be more concentrated on the weak points.

99% of the drones were shot down, damage was insignificant. If Israel stood down right now it might be Armageddon Avoided. But I'm betting Bibi will want to scratch that itch to shoot back, to the detriment of all involved......

Re: So....Israel.
The US is among many nations that are friendly to Israel who are urging Bibi not to go balls-to-the wall with a full-out retaliation.
And he seems to be listening. News reports say the retaliation will be focused on a limited number of targets, which may not be in Iran but against their puppet groups in other countries.(e.g.- Lebanon or Syria)
Bur, as you said, Bibi is Bibi.
My response would be a cyber attack on one of their underground nuclear facilities that turns off the alarms and then removes the rods from the reactor. But that's just me.

Occupation as protest almost always fails, and almost always muddles the message.
That's doubly true when the behavior you are protesting against includes occupation.

As long as the other option isn't beating cops with confederate flagpoles and bear spray.

Many of the current college graduating class was already deprived of proms and high school graduations because of COVID restrictions. Now, colleges may start cancelling their ceremonies because of these occupations and demonstrations.
Do the demonstrators actually think they can gain support among the parents who spent a lot of money on tuition, and now see their kids being deprived of some happiness?
Will this gain them the support of those students?
This isn't well thought out.

Good point!
Re: So....Israel.
The pier built to receive ships bringing relief supplies to Gaza has had to be taken apart and rebuilt three times because it could not withstand the weather. It was built by the "US Military".
I'd like to know if it was built by Army engineers or Navy (Seabees) or both.
Just curious.
