Nah. Biden is out of fucks to give and he should be. Anyone he is "offending" was never voting for Harris anyway.

And...both he and Clinton were far from lying.

It's not going to change any minds, I agree. But it may motivate some who had been planning on staying at home to go out and vote.

I doubt it will change the electoral map at all, but he shouldn't have said it.

He shouldn't be saying anything in public, at least nothing related to this election. He's out of the picture for a reason.

But also this isn't 2016. I don't think this has the same effect as Hillary's did then. Sides have already been drawn.

They have literally ten times the number of lawyers Biden had in 2020. They also have Mark Elias, who is the Shohei Ohtani of election lawyers. They're ready for any bullshit, and have already won a lot of cases even before voting started.
But MAGA has ten, maybe 20 times the number of people, compared to 2020, who've infiltrated or "trojan-horsed" their way into the election apparatus, ready to cause all kinds of ratfucking at the right time. And while Marc Elias might be the most awesome Federal Election lawyer in the country, MAGA has the Supreme Court in its pocket. SCOTUS issues the ultimate legal rulings, not Marc Elias. SCOTUS versus Elias is like a baseball game between the Gas-House Gorillas and your local six year old tee-ball little leaguers.

Yeah, I don't think I can even bring myself to stress about the MAGA attempts to overturn the election. If we're lucky enough for that to be a problem, I guess I'll stress about it then. But right now I'm terrified that the dickhead wins legitimately.

I still can't believe this is possible.

OMFG , Long Island? Staten Island ? NJ?
My guess is SI: in 2016 no county in NY State went harder for Trump than Richmond County, and in the most recent mayoral election 2/3 of SI residents voted for Curtis Sliwa. It's a whole nother world out there.
Same in South Jersey, Ocean county

I'm not convinced Harris wins NJ, it's a longshot but.....
Harris will win NJ by at least a dozen points. We know what a dipshit Trump is, and with minor exceptions we're not stupid.

Looking into the Biden thing a little more deeply, it's not what it originally appeared to be. It's already losing steam everywhere but Fox. It also gives Harris an unexpected "I'm not Joe Biden" moment, as she's already restated today that she doesn't hate anybody, even Trump supporters. (Yeah, I know.... but she's a politician)

The state-level shenanigans can be minimized by the Democratic governors in Arizona, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Things will be tried but will fail. What will be an issue are not the actual problems but the false perception that there IS a problem. Trump has made it very clear that he's going to declare victory on election night regardless, and any result afterwards that shows him not winning will be 'fraud'. So there'll be a battle in the public sphere, but the counts will go on.

For example, Pennsylvania results might not be known for days since mail-in ballots cannot be counted until the physical polls close. But the odds are good that Election day voting will favor Trump, as it did in 2020. Then after mail-in ballots get counted, that could easily change. Cue the cries of fraud.

In addition to the states, there are the Feds, not working for Trump this time. Lefty Jr works for CISA, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency. As we speak they have two floors of a large building in Arlington solely dedicated to securing elections across the country. He's not even allowed on those floors, and they've been working around the clock for months making sure everything is up to snuff from coast to coast.
The answer to the question "Can people really be that stupid?" is always "Yes."

I don’t know. I think the people clutching pearls over a bad joke made by a roast comedian might be a little more snowflakey than people upset over comments made by a sitting president who was clearly not joking.

Trump calls political enemies ‘vermin,’ echoing dictators Hitler, Mussolini
On Veterans Day, the former president vowed to “root out” his liberal opponents, drawing backlash from historians who say his rhetoric is reminiscent of authoritarians
Trump went on further to state: “the threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within. Because if you have a capable, competent, smart, tough leader, Russia, China, North Korea, they’re not going to want to play with us.”

Yes, and he named names of people on his enemies list, including Nancy Pelosi and some current senators and congressmen.
Scary stuff.
He won't have to pull the trigger (or have the Army do it) his loonies will be going after the people he names.

Of course you do. You probably think that the last election was stolen, too. The sitting President is a lame duck who isn't in the running to be the next President.

The Dems can brag all they want about the overwhelming number of Election Law cases they've been winning in the courts so far in this election cycle. But they don't have such a hot record among cases that SCOTUS has decided.

I guarantee you that if SCOTUS positions itself to decide a matter that will determine the winner of the upcoming election, it's over for Kamala no matter what the facts of the underlying case may be. And it won't matter if the Dems have 100 Marc Eliases on their side, either.

It is one thing to be touchy or unsure of something that can be taken many ways.
But this was outright blatantly racist.
There is no excuse for it.

The brainwashing of America. Youse can thank FOX "News", whose damage to the electorate and the nation as whole is incalculable.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... -dictator/

Swing state voters who get their "news" mainly from FOX think that Harris is more likely than her opponent, the unhinged madman, to rule as a dictator.

Well, they didn't help him last time. Most of these cases were and are ludicrous on their face. And state law usually prevails. I'm more concerned about other things than I am about SCOTUS. The best thing to do is run up the score so there's no way it can be stolen.

Fox News is baked in. But there will also be a lot of Republican women who'll be voting behind their husband's back this time.

The big orange idiot held a rally in our town yesterday. Scary to see people I know that are very well educated, highly successful, and pillars of the community posting about how wonderful he was and what an honor it was to hear him speak. I will never understand it.

SCOTUS didn't help him in 2020 because there was no Bush v Gore-like case to decide -- no singular case that could've swung the 2020 election. SCOTUS would've had to make several distinct rulings, involving different states and facts and laws. It was probably a bridge too far, even for this corrupt version of SCOTUS -- although after the Trump immunity decision, I can no longer imagine what, according to SCOTUS, could possibly constitute a line in the sand that it won't cross to favor the GOP.

You're right: Kamala needs to run up the score. But that's not very fair. The GOP is allowed to win a close election but the Dems aren't? Between the ratfucking, a crooked SCOTUS, voter suppression and the Electoral College, the Dems start off like a football seven point underdog.

Well. There was no October surprise.

Just four days until we sweat this one out. Polls have this as a coin flip. Betting odds favor Trump, but I'm still not sure how that works.

White knuckle time.

Forget the betting odds, they're being manipulated.

Trump is doing everything he can to piss off women. And pissed-off women will decide this race.

Not only are the betting odds being manipulated, but then if the madman loses, he can also point to the betting odds as more "evidence " that he was ahead and should have won.

Betting markets are a scam. Most of those participating aren't even American and are 90% male. It's very easy for an oligarch to insert a huge wad of cash to manipulate the market.

Other than the PTSD from the fluke Trump win in 2016, I haven't seen any other anecdotal or empirical evidence that shows me he will beat Harris. That's not to say that it can't happen, but I would much, much, much rather be her than him going into the final days.

the best news in trump's favor of late was a misplaced apostrophe in a quote you have to try to misconstrue and force yourself to get outraged over, from a guy who has already been forced out of the race.

meanwhile trump is calling for rifles pointed at his enemies' faces while saying he'll treat women how he wants whether they like it or not, and stumbling his way up into a garbage truck.

it's preposterous that there's even a fucking race. i hope to hell it turns out there's less of one than we all expected, but i ain't holding my breath.
