Thanksgiving Day Question

Post by MFS62 » Mon Nov 25, 2024 7:31 pm

What do you have to give thanks for this year?

And a Happy Thanksgiving Day to all.

I'm thankful that both of my parents, well into their eighties, are relatively healthy and self sufficient.

I'm thankful that my two kids, now young adults, are making their way in the world.

I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to find my best love in the second half of my life.

I'm thankful that, after over a thousand dollars in veterinary bills, my cat is no longer constipated.

I'm thankful that, just ten days after I had to put my dog to sleep, the Mets won that game in Atlanta and began a three-week run that provided a great distraction and helped accelerate the healing.

And I'm thankful for the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, and hope it doesn't get circumvented somehow.

I'm thankful for my family and friends and the love they have shown me when I needed it the most.

I have so much to be thankful for.

I have been lucky enough to have a happy and healthy family, everything we need, most of what we want and the freedom to live our lives the way that we choose. I realize that we are in the teeny-tiny segment of the world's population that can say that.

I am lucky, fortunate and deeply thankful for all of the strong relationships, numerous experiences and meaningful accomplishments I have in my life.

Giving thanks is so parochial. Tell me what you're TAKING thanks for.

Thanks and giving are in the name of the holiday.
