I wouldn't be surprised if he ran for election to his old House seat in the upcoming special election.
MSNBC analyst just said his ultimate goal is Governor of Florida in two tears, and he will now have time to prep for that run.
Gaetz removing his name from nomination lets Donnie nominate the person he originally wanted as Attorney General - P. Diddy.

The House Ethics Committee has voted to release the report on their investigation of Matt Gaetz.
Unless it is heavily redacted or cleansed it will be interesting to see what happens to his political career. There were reports he wanted to run for Governor of Georgia.

would it matter? whatever's in it pales in comparison to what the leader has done. Unless it's like "hired a black woman" the fascist party isn't likely to care.
Speaking of Georgia politics, he just named Herschel Walker to a diplomatic position (ambassador?) to the Bahamas.

So much talent. What to do with it? US Senate? Or rock-star? Or maybe Jared and his typewriter wife might let Lara cut in front of them to the head of the line to be the next President.
I love this interview. She had an "opportunity" to do the Tom Petty song, so she says. As if someone put a gun to her fucking head and forced her to do the song and so she did so reluctantly and against her will when you just fucking know that she did everything in her power to engineer the making of that cringe-worthy rendition and manipulated and strong-armed everybody that hadda be manipulated or strong-armed so that she could have that Tom Petty video.
She would need a fork lift to carry a tune.
That would make Yoko Ono fans cringe.

“Representative Gaetz violated House Rules, state and federal laws, and other standards of conduct prohibiting prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, acceptance of impermissible gifts, the provision of special favors and privileges, and obstruction of Congress,” the report stated. Even still, it found no evidence that Gaetz was involved in sex trafficking, as the women were over 18 when they traveled.

After backing Trump, low-income voters hope he doesn’t slash their benefits
Excerpt:
NEW CASTLE, Pennsylvania — Lori Mosura goes to the grocery store on a bicycle because she can’t afford to fix her Ford F-150 truck.
The single mother and her 17-year-old son live in an apartment that is so small she sleeps in the dining room. They receive $1,200 each month in food stamps and Social Security benefits but still come up short. Mosura said she often finds herself deciding between buying milk or toilet paper.
It was all that penny-pinching that drove the part-time tax consultant to abandon the Democratic Party this fall and vote for Donald Trump.
“He is more attuned to the needs of everyone instead of just the rich,” Mosura, 55, said on a recent afternoon. “I think he knows it’s the poor people that got him elected, so I think Trump is going to do more to help us.”
Fucking morons and imbeciles. Poor people who need all the help they can get voting for Republicans. Some of them are also so fucking racist that they'd vote to eliminate Medicaid and Food Stamps altogether just because black people are receiving those benefits. Idiots. It was a coalition of idiots that swung the election for the psychopath-elect. I don't even feel sorry for them anymore. Maybe they fucking deserve what's about to happen to them. And we're supposed to be compassionate and understanding to these fucking imbeciles who believe in QAnon and mind control microchips hidden inside of vaccinations. It's a coalition of the dumb, the dumber and the uninformed. After they take away your benefits, you can vote to ban books and ignore science. So you can get even dumber than you already are.
I told youse it was a coalition of idiots. (And we're supposed to be nice and tolerant of these jackasses).
Conspiracy theory is the new normal: 2024 was the year QAnon went mainstream
The single biggest reason Trump won? The median voter ignores real news to consume endless disinformation
Excerpt:
In the face of Vice President Kamala Harris losing the presidential election to Donald Trump, the punditry's focus has been almost exclusively on asking how the Democrats couldn't beat a relentless liar with 34 felony convictions and a previous attempted coup under his belt. Everyone has a different theory about Harris' "messaging," with every critic inevitably arguing that if she had just talked more about their pet issue, she would have won.
Another option, however, is to listen to what swing voters who backed Trump said about their decision. That would seem the wisest choice, but to be fair to people who don't want to go there, hearing these people out is a truly miserable experience. What quickly becomes evident about the median voters in an American focus group is how profoundly opposed they are to even the most basic factual information. On the contrary, it's a community with a pathological aversion to reality, where people compulsively react to anything truth-shaped with hostility, running as hard as they can toward disinformation. They are addicted to BS. Of course they voted for Trump, the country's most reliable dealer of their favorite drug.
This may sound ungenerous to these voters, but only if you've been sparing yourself the torture of engaging their actual opinions. If you hold your nose and dive in, it's startling how much the typical swing voter is allergic to facts. It's not just ignorance, but overt hostility to anything that smacks of veracity. Such as the Trump voter who insisted to the New York Times that Democrats are "lying about pregnancies," by conveying factual information about abortion bans. Or the one who falsely believed "so many people just walk right across the border and get free housing, free food." Or the one who was excited that "Trump brings a Robert Kennedy Jr. or a Tulsi Gabbard and Elon Musk." Or the one who said the "Democratic Party [is] going after average people who disagreed on Covid, who disagreed on school boards, who disagreed on boys playing in women’s sports," which is just a way to complain about liberals who criticize him on social media for saying things that aren't true.

The contentious comments come amid a public feud between several high-profile MAGA figures and X owner Elon Musk over H-1B visa issues.

"Oh my gosh, I love this. Now you're finding out, you dumb f-cking idiots. Now you're just figuring this sh-t out. You're so f-cking stupid, and you deserve it. And you f-cking deserve it because you're so dumb," Lemon jeered, per the New York Post.
"You have been co-opted because you're in a f-cking cult, and you don't even realize it because you have stupid MAGA brain, and you don't get it. How stupid and dumb are you?" he added.
To anyone offended by Lemon's use of profanity, I say: "the truth is always a defense".
Maybe when 500 more high-profile people follow Lemon's lead, we'll have something going. Not that it's gonna undo the wreckage and corruption coming our way.
No, but sometimes you just have to get something off your chest.
