Day off, getting ready to go to lunch with the missus, and we noticed a stain on the garage floor near the furnace. Looked up and something was dripping.
I called the heating company.
A valve had corroded and of course that part isn't covered under the maintenance contract.
The guys just left.
They'll bill me.
Of course.

Just took a call from a customer and at the end of the call we figured out we were in the same Army training unit in 1965.

There's a guy playing in the Players Championship golf tourney this week that I was previously unfamiliar with: bespectacled Indian-American lefty Akshay Bhatia.
And while watching him I noted how lean he was so I looked him up on the interwebs and, according to that, he's listed at 6' 1" / 130
Shyeeeet, I'm kind of skinny plus an inch shorter than him and yet outweigh him by 50 pounds*. I didn't think that was possible and particularly not for a pro athlete.
It's been windy down there near Jacksonville, FL, so it's surprising he just didn't topple over at some point.
btw, He's also currently in second place just two shots off the lead with four holes to play as they try to get this one to the finish line following a lengthy rain delay.




* about six to eight of which are excess I'll admit, but I'm working on it ... though not at the moment

Manute Bol, Wilt Chamberlain, Artis Gilmore, Robert Parish, Ralph Sampson are the only known members of The Club of People Who Have Blocked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Sky Hook from the Strong Side. Sometimes, very rarely, somebody could sneak up and block it from behind — although that was hard as heck too — but it was supposedly only blocked from the front six times.

Six times but by five guys. Wilt Chamberlain was the one who did it twice. And it was in one game.

I don't know what this is called, scammed?, punked? something else?
Apparently my address was posted on a Facebook page called Marketplace.
Two people have shown up at my house (with my address on their phones) saying that I was selling something.
I controlled by urge to tell them to fuck off and politely told them it must have been a mistake.
I then went to the page, but there is no way to search based on my address and I didn't ask what I was supposed to be selling (it looks like there are cars for sale on the site).
Has anyone else had something like this happen to you?

So I see that events of the weekend seem to have put the further canonization of St Rick of Pitino on hold, at least for a little while anyway.

I deactivated my Facebook and Instagram for Lent , I still used messenger as I chat with family back home, when I opened messenger yesterday I saw my account was suspended, downloaded the FB app and same thing, I appealed the decision and got an immediate response, account now disabled and no recourse.

I didn't care about the FB app , but the messenger sucks , anyway using WhatsApp instead

Wow, that’s harsh.
I gave up Facebook for Lent too but my husband tells me if there’s any posts from my daughter, which is rare, but I know mine is still usable.
Also still using messenger

Ugh, now they have permanently disabled my Instagram account, again so recourse, this I am a little upset about, I was definitely hacked , when I open IG a different username pops up , whatever, maybe its a sign
