Read that (not joking here) one of the five deaths from last Wednesday's events was a rally attendee who was trampled to death while carrying a "Don't Tread on Me" flag. And that another guy tased himself in the genitals and later died from it. Whoops! Sucks to suck as they say

Read this if you don't want to sleep for a month. We came very close here. This may be why Trump smiled while he watched this on TV and refused to send in the National Guard.

Also, irony is dead.

@MollyJongFast
A police officer just said he was beaten by capitol rioter with a blue lives matter flag pole.

That brought together what we have suspected since the attack on the Capitol. Scary shit.

No surprises here.I thought it was a big inside job from day one, with more and more confirmation with each passing day and with each new revelation.

History will tell you that at this point, there's only one effective way to deal with Trump.

While tRump is trying to rip off the country, his team is just ripping off the White House:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-offici ... 43201.html
A top aide to President Donald Trump was seen leaving the White House with a large framed photograph, stirring controversy as former officials alleged that the move was “illegal” and said the artwork belonged to the National Archives.

Peter Navarro, a top trade official in the Trump administration, was photographed by a Reuters journalist leaving the White House grounds earlier this week with the image of Mr Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

My concern is that he's going to want to monetize all the information he learned while in the White House. Even being the narcissistic idiot he is, he's learned things others would like to know. He'll be doing favors for Putin and Erdogan and other autocrats in return for cold hard cash. Watch for some shady 'real estate deals' in the next few years.

Kushner can probably coast for life on all the secrets he's given to Mohammad Bone Saw. These people need to have their phones tapped until their dying days.

This is another reason impeach-and-remove is so very important. The House Democrats have one audience-- 15-20 reachable GOP Senators.

I'm not sure how an impeachment conviction would matter. It won't undo what they already know. And while former presidents traditionally continue to receive classified intelligence, this is discretionary - more of a courtesy extended. The current president (Biden-incoming) has the power to cut off any former president from receiving that intelligence. I have a hunch that Biden will use that power to cut Trump off.

I suppose that an impeachment conviction though, would prevent a future president sympathetic to Trump from permitting Trump to receive intelligence.

Also, I'll bet anything that Kushner took paper hard copies of whatever intelligence he wanted and took it home with him where he copied it to various digital storage devices.

Hunter Walker is trying to make Rolling Stone great again, authoring an article quoting January 6 insurrections alleging that at least half a dozen members of Congress were involved in planning the siege, as well as dozens of staffers, and administration officials, including White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
“We would talk to Boebert’s team, Cawthorn’s team, Gosar’s team like back to back to back to back,” says the organizer.

And Gosar, who has been one of the most prominent defenders of the Jan. 6 rioters, allegedly took things a step further. Both sources say he dangled the possibility of a “blanket pardon” in an unrelated ongoing investigation to encourage them to plan the protests.

“Our impression was that it was a done deal,” the organizer says, “that he’d spoken to the president about it in the Oval … in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up. They were working on submitting the paperwork and getting members of the House Freedom Caucus to sign on as a show of support.”

The organizer claims the pair received “several assurances” about the “blanket pardon” from Gosar.

“I was just going over the list of pardons and we just wanted to tell you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing,” Gosar said, according to the organizer.

I would much rather the former president be fed bad intelligence in order to see where it ends up.

The sources for the Rolling Stone article are also talking to the staff at the Jan 6 Congressional Committee. So that should be fun. Let the subpoenas fly.

Meanwhile 8 American-hating insurrectionists were elected on to public office on Tuesday. Are the Biden Democrats going to reach across the aisle to work with them for bipartisan solutions to overthrowing the government?

But his e-mails! And texts!

An excellent exercise in pretzel-bending was done by Fox 'News' prime-time hosts last night. "Yeah, even though we were pleading for Donald Trump to stop it, we didn't think he was involved or responsible in any way. And it's Nancy Pelosi's fault!"

Love that the Democrats are putting Liz Cheney out there to read these in public. Excellent trolling that I didn't think they had in them. Mark Meadows, idiot that he is, actually gave them a treasure trove of information and THEN decided not to cooperate further, earning a Contempt of Congress referral to the DOJ.

Best part is it seems to be that Don Jr. doesn't have Daddy's phone number. :)

In case you're wondering why Meadows can't be tried in absentia for Contempt of Congress, Federal Law states that the defendant must have appeared at least one day during the trial for that to happen. Since Meadows sent in documents but never physically appeared, the law , unfortunately, cannot be applied.
