All Politics Are Loco: 2023
Re: All Politics Are Loco: 2023
The GOP response to tonight's State of the Union Message will be provided by:
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Write your own punch line.

Well, it'll be easy for her since she has lots of practice lying.
And Trump Jr. has spent his entire life desperately seeking Daddy's approval (and never getting it). That's why the cocaine binges are so frequent.

I can't think of a bigger non-event than the opposition party's response to the SOTU. You want your own platform? Try winning an election

They can be significant. Bobby Jindal's dream of running for president ended when millions of people said, "Hey, he sounds just like Kermit the Frog".

And by the by, Biden chewed up the Republicans and spit them out last night. Actually got them to admit they won't cut Social Security and Medicare in their debt-ceiling hostage-taking. And he did it on live TV. Beautiful. He knew what they were going to do and he was ready for it.

Serious question: Does repeating and reposting and sharing Congresswoman Taylor Green's showboating nonsense play weaken her or play right into her hands? Does it help or hinder the agenda she represents?

I think (hope) it will strengthen her grip on her constituency and not gain her a single vote outside it.

I think we need to weaken her grip on her constituency. I'm less worried about her getting a higher office than I am interested in getting her out of the position that she currently holds.

Re: All Politics Are Loco: 2023
I would be shocked if she ever wins a state-wide election. Her district is about the ruralest, poorest, least educated and most religious district in Georgia. It's where Deliverance took place. She planted her flag there first and with tons of money. She's an outsider. And a superdupermillionaire. It was an open seat district when she was first elected. She's from a white suburban district and calculated that she could never win running from where she lives. Her act won't carry. I agree with Grimm.Benjamin Grimm wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 3:20 pm I think we need to weaken her grip on her constituency. she's like a poorly drawn villain in a knockoff bargain-basement cartoon with embarrassingly bad writing, scant plotting and even less character development. the three-person development team is so in-over-their-heads that not only did they not develop a voice for the character that's noticeably different from any other random female character, they also never even bothered to give her a memorable catch phrase. instead, she holds a balloon and wears a fur.

Well, I fear that sharing the buffoonery does the buffoons' campaigning for them, and encourages buffoons in other districts across the country to do the same.

Unless someone from Georgia's 14th congressional district is on this board, I'm not concerned. She's incapable of governing in any meaningful way. It's all performance art to her and the others of her ilk.Benjamin Grimm wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 3:20 pm I think we need to weaken her grip on her constituency. The best way to make her irrelevant is by beating these people in 2024, seven of whom are in New York and New Jersey.

I've been voting against Brian Fitzpatrick for a few cycles now.

Congressman Goldman and his points of order are going to make this a tough slog for the chairman, it seems.
