The fact that the towns that went for Biden have the higher vaccination rates should come as no surprise if you've spoken to people who voted for the other guy.
An analysis of all Connecticut municipalities revealed that in the 10 towns that voted the most for Biden, excluding cities with a population over 100,000, an average of 53 percent of their residents have had at least one dose. That compared with 47.6 percent in the 10 towns that voted more for former President Donald Trump.

No. 2 is in the books!

In the arm, I mean. Even still.

While I imagine Woody Johnson has a locker full of Johnson & Johnson stock, it's not really fair or accurate to portray him as the owner.

Any side effects? I got lucky and was ok. My wife didn't feel good for about a day and a half.

It's interesting how the side-effects vary. Maybe it will be better explained one day.

Our neighbor and wife got #2 the other day. He doesn't like sports and said to me
yesterday, "I felt like someone beat me with a baseball bat, and you know how much
I hate baseball."

It was funny, maybe you had to be there.

No sides other than the sore wing the first time.

Felt slightly lightheaded coming out of the Walgreens this time, about two hours ago, but that faded. Arm knows it’s been shot again. We’ll see how the rest of me fares.

Mrs. Fafif was J&J’d early this month on a Friday. She had less than than average weekend immediately thereafter, but after 48 hours was okey-dokey.

Pfizer vac x 2 and felt fine both times.
If I'd turn to sleep on the injected shoulder or maybe stretch to reach for something I'd feel a slight soreness but I almost had to try to make it hurt in order to feel it.

my arm felt a little more baseball-batty the second go around with the pfizer, but otherwise no ill effects.

I think guys who got Pfizer are feeling it less. Most of the women who got Pfizer have felt something.

Exactly one year ago today, Obama's successor told us to inject or ingest bleach to combat the disease.

What makes you think I did?
It was the collective "us".
The people who followed that advice, rather than listening to advice from qualified doctors and epidemiologists, deserved what happened to them.
I wouldn't do anything he said to do.
I still can't believe that even after that, and other harmful things he said about the virus, 70 million people still voted for him.

Pfizer #2 in the books.

No side effects other than a sore arm.

Suddenly seeing a lot more pop-up clinics for walk-ins. This means that people who didn't have the wherewithal to jump through hoops online to register will finally have the opportunity. Good things are happening!

I'm seeing the same thing but I tend to think it's a sign that supply is simply starting to out-pace demand.
We're closer to being enough for everyone but not everyone wants it, and others just seem to be in no hurry.

The no hurry folks would be people who don't want to or unable to go through complex registration procedures. So this is opening things up for them.

And yet I'm still hearing from people who could right now walk across the street and get a shot and are in no hurry to do so.
Stores with a pharmacy inside are making announcements that walk-up shots are available to anyone in the store and the
stampede is about the same as if they had announced that canned lima beans are 3-cents off this week.

My granddaughter, who had COVID-19, had to wait 3 months to get the vaccine. She just got her first Pfizer shot, and has been scheduled to get the second one in three weeks. Because she'll be home by then, she'll have to go back to her college to get it.

Yep, this. There are still a lot of folks who just won't get it. I don't understand it at all.

They are ignorant. I refuse to accept any other explanation. Though I'd expand that judgement to anyone who refuses any generally accepted medical vaccine, not just Covid.

I've decided the design of the CDC vaccine card is stupid. Anyone with the least
rudimentary skills can just make a fugazi. It should be laminated and marked with
some kind of imprint. The size is stupid too.

Joined the club today. Got my J&J one-shot only. Called the pharmacy to make an appointment and was told that no appointment was necessary. Walked in and was the only one in there getting vaccinated.

I think the size is my biggest problem. They seriously couldn't make that wallet-sized?

Yep agreed, very stupid. Though now that my Excelsior pass shows my info this is maybe less of a big deal. Hopefully that's just accepted at all the places I might otherwise have to show proof of my vax.
