Biden has pretty much exceeded every expectation I had of him (granted, they were low to begin with). Where I needed to be persuaded to support him in 2020 and I voted for him MAINLY because he was not Trump, I proudly support him out of the gate in 2024. I don't care if he stumbles. I don't care if he stutters. He's the most qualified and accomplished man for the job.Lefty Specialist wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 8:20 amBiden's downside is that he's really old; but a shitload of good things have happened on his watch. Unemployment is at historic lows, inflation in coming under control, COVID is no longer the life-altering mess it was, we have an actual climate policy for the first time ever, we've re-built our relations with our allies, strengthened NATO, and are destroying the Russian military on the cheap by arming Ukraine. We got out of Afghanistan (messy, yes, but better than still being there). He outmaneuvered the Republicans in the debt deal and was smart enough not to brag about it. And I probably missed a few things.

Great. This'll be the guy the Russian ratfuckers back -- Jill Green.v2024. Why do these people even run? If he's committed to his cause, he shouldn't even bother because he's only gonna hurt it.
We have the most fucked up idiotic way of electing Presidents in the world, where Biden could win the popular vote by 10 million yet lose the election based on 2,000 votes here and 2,500 votes there.

Cornell West = Jill Stein = dangerous to Democratic Presidential candidates.
He could pull just enough crucial votes away from the democratic candidate to swing a key state to the GOP.
Memo to Cornell:
Stay the fuck out of the race.
Signed
Someone who is still pissed at Ralph Nader
Strongly worded letter to follow.

He could definitely pull votes away from Biden in Milwaukee, Detroit, Philly and Atlanta...places where Biden is gonna need those votes.

Yeah, this is really not helpful. All his votes will be pulled from Biden. His totals will be minuscule, but every vote is important. Let's hope he reconsiders, but West is notably bullheaded.
Helping Republicans won't end poverty, mass incarceration, end wars or avoid ecological collapse, won't guarantee housing, health care or living wages. In fact it will make all of those problems worse. Watch who gives him money very closely. Also watch who helps the People's Party get on the ballot in the swing states. I expect it'll be Republican donors and operatives.

Pence jumped in today. What a dumbass. He turned on Trump in the closing minutes of his administration, but does he really feel that sufficiently separates him from Trump in the eyes of voters?
We're looking at 2020 all over again where Trump dominates a fractured primary field. I assume the only reason that so many candidates are jumping in rather than coalescing on an opposition candidate is that they all feel "I'm the one" if his legal troubles get bad enough?

After pinky-swearing ar the State of the Union that they wouldn't cut Social Security, Republicans released a plan today that raises the retirement age to 69. But only for people below the age of 52. Yeah, this is a good issue to run on. They're working on Medicarte cuts, too.

More stuff from America"s newest retard state:
Florida doesn't recognize Juneteenth. Its state workers don't get the day off. Florida does celebrate several slavery holidays, including Robert E. Lee's birthday, and some Confederate flag holiday.
Something about the Deep South, I guess. Florida is deeper souther than retard states 1 and 2, Mississippi and Alabama.

Re: All Politics Are Loco: 2023
Those days are recognized by the state legislature, but like Juneteenth, state workers aren't given the day off or anything.
Mississippi and Alabama recognize Robert E. Lee's birthday as well. His birthday is four days off of King's on the calendar, allowing states to accede to the federal MLK holiday law while telling their citizens that they can recognize whatever.
Holiday battles involve a lot of energy, I think, but little in the way of consequences. If you want to observe Susan B. Anthony Day or Pulaski Day, observe it. If your observances become more elaborate, burn one of your days off for it.
If so many at your company or school are taking the day off that it's more or less a better investment of time for everybody to shut down, they can shut down. If your union has the juice, maybe they can get you paid anyway.
If the day insinuates itself into the culture broadly, let the state proclaim love and support for those who celebrate it. If so many are celebrating that businesses are having trouble functioning, then the state can declare a paid day off.
These things are organic that way. In the meantime, celebrate what you believe in. It's the best way to lobby. I'll be honest — I don't think I've ever spent Memorial Day in a graveyard decorating the monuments of fallen soldiers. I don't think that I've ever gone to a special church service to pray for the brave fallen men and women of my nation's armed forces. I have marched in Memorial Day parades as a Little Leaguer, but I've never gone to one as an adult. I've enjoyed the day as an entitled American, and if it went away and I bitched about what an insult it was to the honorable dead, I'd be a real hypocrite.
I've tried to give some reflective time on Labor Day to the legacy of organized labor in America. Maybe I do some targeted reading, but I'm hardly too indisposed to work. Many of these are frequently just days off that we are lucky to have.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/pol ... 179331007/Hunter Biden accepted a plea bargain to two misdemeanor tax evasion charges and one firearm offense, according to a court filing in Delaware on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Biden will be charged but not prosecuted in connection with buying a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver in 2018 when he was abusing drugs.
As expected, Republicans are going rat-shit bonkers.

Here's the trade I'd propose: we'll prosecute Hunter Biden when Jared Fucking Kushner and his bunt fraud wife Ivanka give back the free two billion dollar slush fund they got from the Saudis, nominally disguised as an "investment " for all of the vital state secrets the scumbag ex-president gave the Saudis while he held office. And then that hunt fraud Ivanka could give back all the fucking trademarks and copyrights she got from China, on the merits, no doubt.
Hunter buys a gun and the demented psychopath who was the last president is selling nuclear state secrets. And any second, that other forum member is gonna tell us that ex NY Governor Cuomo is the worst politician in America. You wanna vote for that piece of shit Trump three times because you're against abortions? That's your right. But dont insult us by telling us what a nice fucking guy he is. As if you would even know, anyway.

The psychopath former President just before Biden apparently had awesome powers that were intentionally hidden from him. Had he known, god knows how he would've abused them to strengthen his failed attempt to steal the election that he lost. He knows about those awesome powers now.

The nutjob had this hare-brained idea that if he smashed up the furniture in the halls of Congress, he'd be declared the winner of the Presidential election that he lost. Then he had fake electoral slates set up. And the first thing he does is to claim that it was Biden that stole the election that he's trying to steal. And all of his retard fanatics believe all of it. And why the fuck not? Those retards believe in QAnon. Do we need 10 page long think pieces that only an academic could understand to explain this? They believe in QAnon. You don't need to know anything else about these fucking retards. They believe in QAnon. Most people are fucking idiots and it seems that all of them are in MAGA world. Hillary had it right from the get go and I wish she didn't take back her words. Re: All Politics Are Loco: 2023
Schedule F is the key. Pretty much every federal employee will be subject to immediate dismissal for not toeing the MAGA line. It'll be chaos at first but eventually the whole government will move at the whim of the person in charge. DeSantis and most other Republican candidates are fine with this as well, so it's not just Trump. They all buy into the 'Deep State' bullshit.
Biden revoked this order on Day 1. If this ever takes effect there will be enormous governmental upheaval every time the party in the White House changes hands. As someone whose son is a federal employee, this is more than a bit concerning. But the powers in the little black book are the road to Fascism, pure and simple.

Some of the right wingnuts have already said that.
I'm posting the Yahoo news copy rom the Daily Beast because the original is under a fire wall.
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fox ... 14054.htmlCalling the entire process “suspicious,” Banderas then used conservative media’s favorite phrase when floating wild accusations. “I mean, we’re just asking questions,” she declared. “But then when you look at all the other networks, for example, all the major broadcast networks last night led with the cocaine found at the White House. Not one broadcast mentioned the name Hunter Biden.”
Of course, Banderas made sure to point out “we’re not saying it is Hunter Biden’s” cocaine, only to immediately reference his past struggles with addiction and heavily implying the coke was indeed his.
