Yeah, but there are couple or threes and fours already posted while I'm on my fourth guess and have yet to land a single letter. And I honestly have no idea where
to go from here because I can't even find another guess that works with what I've already eliminated AND is a cromulent word in the English language.

I had two letters, one from the first guess and one from the second, and managed to try those two out in seven different places thru four moves and was wrong on every single one of them.
This was at the same time as i was whiffing on my other eleven guesses entirely.

Finally got it some 11 hours after starting. I tried two guesses over breakfast, one more at lunch, then two more just now after staring at it for the last half hour.

You and I were in the same boat, searching (and mostly failing) for the proper places for A and R.
What finally got me from driving the bus off a cliff was my wild-ass guess of FUBAR. I didn't think it was a legit word (and it probably isn't) but WORDLE did accept it as a legal try. It obviously didn't work but it confirmed the existence of U and B in the answer and I RUMBA-ed on my next move.
I think I thought RUMBA was spelled with an H
