The irony of a Holocaust survivor doing Hogan's Heroes was mind-blowing.
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.
Re: Guess who died in 2022
Colonel Klink was played by a Jew (Werner Klemperer) who escaped Germany in the thirties. All the major Nazi roles were played by Jewish actors.
Clary had a concentration camp tattoo on his arm, and Leon Askin (General Burkhalter) lost his parents at Treblinka.
It was clearly some sort of a casting understanding within the production.

George Lois, Madison Avenue’s best-known 20th-century art director, who put the counterculture of the 1960s and ’70s into postwar advertising and created stunning covers for Esquire magazine that rebuked American racism and involvement in the Vietnam War, died on Friday at his home in Manhattan. He was 91.

Wilko Johnson 75
Guitarist known for his work with Dr Feelgood and later Roger Daltry
In 2014 he was diagnosed with untreatable pancreatic cancer and given 10 months to live
The tumor was misdiagnosed and successfully removed weighing in at several pounds
He had a one of a kind playing style which he described the learning of it as "learning how to ride a bicycle, not easy but once you get the hang of it you have that skill."

Borje Salming, Toronto defenseman who was one of the early Europeans to make the move to the NHL and whose success, amid much doubt, opened up the gates to other Swedish players
followed by Finns, Czechs and more as the iron curtain melted away.
Salming was the first Swede in the NHL HoF and continues to hold the Maple Leaf franchise record for assists.
He was 71 and had been diagnosed with ALS just earlier this year.

I kinda suspected she wouldn't.
Re: Guess who died in 2022
That would have been something! Of course, none of us could ever verify
that she did because we're all going to be dead at some present time.

Dion Rich, 92. The ultimate gate crasher. Sneaked into 33 Super Bowls, numerous Oscars, you name it.
Here he is hoisting Tom Landry after the Cowboys won Super Bowl XII. He's the one not wearing a uniform.
