But he may have a point.

In the maddening age of AI, does reposting bullshit tend to give it more credibility?

I do not know.

I'm with Kase.
If you know the kind of crap they're slinging, you can be better prepared to confront it.
I'm not sure if reposting it will give it more credibility.
My thought is, the more their arguments are exposed to light and air, the more ridiculous they will seem to the people who think that way.
And, as Jack Woltz says in GF1, "I don't like to be made to feel ridiculous."

The infamous quote is:

"She threw it all away just to make me look ridiculous. And a man in
my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous."

I simply have no interest in wallowing in this stuff.
He's here for the next three+ years so we better find a way to combat his policies rather than spending time digging up things to fume over. Especially when
much of that stuff is written by half-informed zealots who have no interest in hearing anything negative about their super-hero.

And for all I know those claims up there may even be true, in fact I suspect they are. Writing checks, for a rich man, is easy, especially when it buys good pr.
Steinbrenner's supporters used the do the same thing (I keep telling you folks that those two are the same person) as if that somehow negates everything
else in his life. I mean, sure George took pride in firing as many people as possible (^^^ see, I told ya ^^^) and paid a low life gambler to dig up dirt on his
star OF'er because he was pissed off at being bested by him at the negotiating table, but he was giving money to a sick kid at the same time so he's actually
a really great guy!!

I don't mind if you post it I'm just not going to read it but wonder the extent to which repeating what we see out there isn't helping it gain steam.

It's not like I need to be prepared we can't help but see that shit everywhere

Yeah, I just skim past the shit-posting. If I see them on Bluesky they immediately get blocked. Needless to say I've already blocked Twitter in its entirety.

Keeping this spot warm.
We've been invited to the parents of my son in-law's 60th wedding anniversary party next week.
Many of the men and women there have served in the Armed Forces and some may still be (active or reserves).
I'd guess over 90% are Trumpies.
I may have some terrifying stuff to post here.
My daughter has pleaded with us not to "get political".
But if they say something ...

A lot of these people are cowards, and if you deny them their safe space to be racist, they shy away. That's what the real difference between Trump and like, Romney/etc, is that the republicans saw in him a safe space to be racist. But drop a "Hi, I'm MFS62, he/him" and it repels them harder than garlic for vampires.

when I first read this I thought you meant your daughter in law’s 60th anniversary and wondered why it wasn’t also your son’s…

Btw maybe be she’ll beg them to behave too :)
