My sister's family -- her, husband, 24 y/o kid -- all came down with Covid recently despite all being double-vaxxed.
Mostly it was just like having a cold, although the kid (with other health issues) ran a fever for a short time. And
they likely wouldn't have known it was Covid except that they got tested which came up positive for all three.
This earned them the anti-bodies treatment as all have some above-avg risk.

I got Boosted today.

Link - Pfizer says booster "works on Omicrom"
NEW YORK & MAINZ, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) and BioNTech SE (Nasdaq: BNTX) today announced results from an initial laboratory study demonstrating that serum antibodies induced by the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (BNT162b2) neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant after three doses. Sera obtained from vaccinees one month after receiving the booster vaccination (third dose of BNT162b2 vaccine) neutralized the Omicron variant to levels that are comparable to those observed for the wild-type SARS-CoV-2 spike protein after two doses.

Pfizer expecting data from 2-4 and 6mo-2 trials around the end of the year/new year. Good news. Still got one more in my family to go, 3/5 at the latest.

Third one hit me hard whereas the first two didn't. migraine/chills the next day until after dinner (And even that was just muted because advil)

the 7 year old got her second shot just now. 3 down, 1 to go. Which will happen in March it seems, minor setback on the 2-4 Pfizer shots.

Other than some slight next-day shoulder soreness from the needle itself, I've had zero adverse effects from any of the three shots.
Odd how random those things can be.

3 shots, absolutely no reaction to any of them. But my wife ached after all three.

it probably just has to do with the randomness of your own immune system right? You're always fighting _something_ so some people are taxed some are rested, hard to know? *shrug* My daughter (despite antics to get the damn needle) is having no response today to the second shot.

Was at the mall in Paramus, NJ yesterday. probably 90-95% masked, so that was nice. One outward racist (brandon shirt)

Saw a guy with an American flag made out of AR-15's on his hoodie and a Let's go Brandon hat. I pointed to my Four Seasons Total Landscaping hoodie but I don't think he got the subtlety of my joke. Oh well.

Israel looking to go fourth booster soon, the third one 'wanes' quicker than
expected. Shit changes weekly. Daily. Hourly.

I mean, it's not _changing_. It's adapting to fight a prevalent and rapidly changing threat. Israel was boosted earlier than anyone else, so as long as it's been four months they're trying to make sure the riskiest people can get another dose and keep those antibodies fresh and active.

Of course, there's an argument to be had for trying to spread 2nd/third doses to a world-wide population over individual countries just looking out for themselves and trying to bolster their own protections.

NJ was supposed to be sending free ones overnight, but I requested them two days ago and they have NOT shown up yet. add in the turn around time when I send 'em back, and what's the point.

The NJ ones are not a rapid test, you have to send it to a lab and get results back.

Scored some rapids at a Walgreens nearby. As I was waiting on line to check out, an entire shelf of them vanished as if consumed by army ants.

Our planned trip to Colorado in mid-January is looking shakier by the day.
