I was thinking about getting tested for this new RSV virus but the doctor's office said they'd have to get back to me on an appointment.
I think this delayed confirmation means I may have the dreaded RSVP virus.

That's what they prescribed. Have to stop one of my regular meds
for 8 days, only take half of another for 5 days. Possible side effects
drama - we'll see but part of me thinks drinking a gallon of water a
day and taking it easy would have worked just fine...

Thanks all! KB is sick this morning, but negative. We're guessing regular flu
for now, it's big up here. Huge, I tell you at the present time.

Thanks again, all...

I feel pretty good considering it's only been 72 hours since my first positive
test result and only about 60 hours since my first dose of the Paxlovid. Fever
is gone but can't shake the headache no matter what I take. It's a little early
for vodka but I won't lie the thought has crossed my warped mind.

KB tested positive this morning. She's enroute to urgent care to try and score
a wonder-drug prescription and some paperwork. Her employer requires proof
of Covid in order to pay her.

I don't know, I feel a bit all stupid and anxious over all this. It's been going on
for like three years and feel a lot of people are sick of hearing about it hahaha.

I'm no longer a COVID virgin. My girlfriend woke up feeling poorly this morning so she took a test and got a positive result. I then tested as well and I'm also positive. We've both called our doctors for Paxlovid prescriptions.

Fortunately, I haven't seen either of my kids in eight days. My best guess is that my girlfriend's son brought it home from middle school, but we don't have a test result for him yet.

Best to you both, it can be scary, definitely ask doc for a azithromycin too , in case of a lingering cough

Yeah, Ben, hope your symptoms are short-lived.

I still have to get shot #5; don't know why I'm putting it off but then
again I put everything off so I don't know why I don't know why.

Thanks everyone! Her son has tested positive too so we're all quarantining together. So far it's hit my girlfriend the hardest but she's not suffering, just feeling run down.

I had COVID for the second time a few weeks ago. It was nothing more than a drippy nose, as I'm well vaxed. I just locked myself in the spare bedroom and bounced off the walls for 5 days until I tested negative. My wife never even got it. So about as mild as it can go.

It looks like we're on the other side of this. We're all feeling good seven days after initially testing positive. I suspect the Paxlovid helped, but who can say for sure? We haven't tested yet; I've read that you can get a positive test weeks after you're no longer sick, but we'll probably test in a few days anyway.
