Hearing going on today in the hush money case sounds like a real headache, as the judge seems to be forced to teach his lawyers how to be lawyers.

He's given 10 more days to come up with a drastically reduced bond.

The guy is getting his share of key wins.

He keeps slithering away.
Will he eventually have to pay the full amount?

That he (and Clinton) relentlessly cheated at golf is well known to all who've played with him.

Going off topic a bit, but Clinton cheated at golf? I used the Google, and the only article that came up was this rather weak accusation from John Daly.

Rick Reilly has made a second (or third) career out of accounts of President Trump's golf cheating.

I hadn't read the same about President Clinton. I certainly wouldn't be shocked, but I've missed any such accounts. If the only account is from John Daley defending President Trump with whatboutism, well, I'd want more than that to call it conclusive.

OE: I just found an account from Tiger Woods. I'm not sure how seriously to read it but there it is. Not really sure what outlet that's from.

Yeah, "interesting math", as Tiger puts it, probably best describes Clinton's relationship with golf. I mean the only real
cheating he did was to himself, but the use of 'Mulligans' (do-overs), picked-up (non) putts, and other creative forms
of accounting were just way to stake a claim to being a better golfer than he really was.

There was a story about him in a press box at some sporting event when he told a sportswriter he knew that he had
broken 80 for the first time ever a day or two earlier (a big deal for an amateur golfer). When safely out of earshot
of the Prez one of the members of the WH press corps who had been present at the 'sub-80' round whispered in the
ear of the writer something along the lines of, 'I was there, it wasn't close to breaking 80'.

I wonder if he was asked if he is a republican, and if the answer was yes to then clarify what type of republican

Sir, can you tell the court if you are a Republican?

  I certainly am.

Interesting. What sort of Republican? A libertarian? A social conservative? A fiscal conservative? An isolationist?

I'm an anti-treaty Republican, as was my father was before me.

The fuck you talking about?

I'd watch my mouth if I was you, Son.

So it's more suffering that the former president needs to answer for.

I'm not sure if we can tie his actions directly to the defendant or if he went there knowing he would get a lot of press coverage because of all the media at the nearby trial. The message on those leaflets will tell us more.
But, if there were no trial, there wouldn't have been as many reporters and cameras around. So he might not have done this.
So, in a way, you're right.

I'm sure his positions made no sense at all, but people like the former president, who baselessly espouse pollitical conspiracies, stochastically feed into the madness of political passions, and trigger bursts of destruction.

You can blame Trump for a lot of things, but another man's mental illness or stupidity isn't fairly one of them.

Mental illness is everywhere. (I've got my own share of it.) But the depravity of the bullshit in our politics sets fire to it. The guy's position, such as it can be gleaned, is that Presidents Trump and Biden were in cahoots, so he's not even apparently a supporter.

But I have no doubt that crazed behavior by those in power stirs up incoherent madness in the populace. The former president can pretend that he has nothing to do with James Fields and Kyle Rittenhouse, while his nonsense riles up their insanity and he builds a base out of it. He in fact has a whole lot to do with it.
