SO many birdies today, along with that one Monkish eagle, leaves this looking like a four-player battle royale down the stretch, with metsirish lurking around the outside looking to sneak in over the last three holes.

We're going to make this interesting and each put in 10 bucks next month, right?

I haven't been in the competition, but I had to post that after about 400 games using the same starting word, I finally got a hole-in-one today.

Congrats might be in order but anyone who solves the word in just one guess was 100% lucky. Getting it right in two guesses is like 98 or 99% lucky. (I got it in two today, btw).

My starting word is a super common one that has not yet been used as a Wordle word. So I'm staying with it at least long enough to get my hole in one.

I don't know what's bigger — that third straight birdie (and fourth in five holes) Frayed Knot to take the lead, or the heartbreaking double-bogey-six by irish to drop him off the leader board back into the pack.

Did you think that Monk was done after his disastrous seven on 14? Well, who didn't?! But where others might have been demoralized, Monk took advantage of all eyes falling off of him and followed that up with an eagle and a birdie, pounding his way back to within one stroke of the lead!
