Knicks Might Not Suck 2022-23

With no Vic, LWFS and limited Namor this thread may be a lonely place. The
Knicks are 1-1 after a heartbreaking overtime road loss in Memphis and easily
beat the Pistons in the home opener last night.

Two games into the season and I notice that The New York Times has no
interest in covering the Knickerbockers. How long has that being going on?

Back on the early '90s, Suzyn Waldman covered both the Yanx and Knicks for WFAN which meant that she didn't even start on the NYY beat until after hoops season was over, sometimes as last as June.

Remembering that that was the case sounded like from another era even before that decade was out, but such was the flip in the fortunes of the Yanx and Bockers and also, I think, of the status of baseball and basketball in NYC.

I know you've been waiting breathlessly for me to post something about last night's game.
I didn't want to disappoint you but I feel like Mr. Nice Guy today.
So, have a nice day. :)

You know nothing if that's what you think you know.

To be fair to the Knicks they were at a disadvantage in that game, the Nets got to play without Kyrie Irving.

Mike Vaccaro (NY Post) agrees with you.
Since Kyrie Irving was exiled to the suspended list and vanished from the team, the Nets have won three out of four (and came heartbreakingly close to being 4-0), and every aspect of the team has been better.

This, so far, is a pretty small sample size.
But, IIRC, the W/L numbers with and without him during the two seasons he was in Boston were stark (and not in his favor).

He's also now logged 113 games played over the last three-plus seasons and I don't think there have been any actual injuries during that time to cause those missed games. Stubbornness, paranoia, disinterest, idiocy, laziness... yes.

Duke U. must be so proud.

Nets win again without Kevin Durant 122-115

Yes. It was part of a triple-header. (This game was on ABC.)

They caught me napping. I generally can't watch Knicks games live
anymore. I record, go to the two hour mark to see if it's worthy of my
time and proceed from there haha...

8 in a row after defeating the Heat tonight. The Knicks could very well play their way into the 4 seed and have home court in a first round series!

Hope Vic Sage is out there watching!

Blast from the past.
If anyone sees him, please remind him that Frankie Wildhorn's musical Bonnie and Clyde will be opening in London's West End on April 19.

Knicks up 2-1 in the series and have a 1:00 matinee at The World's Most
Famous Arena. If you auto-DVR such things as I do, a reminder that today's
game is on WABC and not on MSG.
