Charitable CranePoolers 2022

Post by Fman99 » Wed Dec 14, 2022 10:37 am

Let's get the charity merry go round a-spinnin for 2022! I can drive this or ABNS can again if he's got the time.

I would like to please ensure that I get a 501(c)(3) charity for my own self, as my employer will match any $25 donation to a registered 501(c)(3) with a $100 donation to a local food bank.

===================================

Participants (I shall try to keep this updated):

Fman - The Children's Heart Foundation
ABNS - Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women
KC - Answer the Call
MFS62 - Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Center
BG - Tisch MS Research Center of New York
TM - Stoughton Resettlement
JCL - National Alliance on Mental Illness in NYC
Hot Corner - the V Foundation
Lefty Specialist - City Harvest
Chad Ocho - May Dugan Center
Cal Sharpie - Camfed

Count me in.

My chosen charity, for the third consecutive year, is Tisch MS Research Center of New York Dedicated to finding the cause of and cure for multiple sclerosis.

I am happily in love with a woman with MS, so this charity is particularly meaningful to me.

I will double my donation if it's for an organization that gets four stars on Charity Navigator.

I'm in!

My charity is more local AND international this year. My town has been doing a great job resettling Ukrainian refugees in the area.

This is the local organization that does most of the work: https://stoughtonresettlement.org/

Hey - I haven't been around much and I forgot about this. Glad it's back, and thanks to Fman for handling it.

I'm in, and I'll again go hyperlocal with my neighborhood all-purpose do-gooding center.

Ok, I'm supporting a 4-star, 100% rated, New Mexico-run organization called the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women. Thanks again for setting this up, Eff Man.

Giving this another bump - I would like to draw names in the next day or two so anyone who is inclined to participate please throw their name in the ring. Thanks !

I've also chosen my own charity - the Children's Heart Foundation, in recognition of my nephew Charlie, who continues to thrive at age 7 after three heart surgeries in his first 18 months.

Last chance! I'm drawing names tonight, as my own company's offer to match a $25 donation with a $100 donation to the local food bank ends on 12/31.

Love that you’ve done this. I had to abstain for financial reasons this year but I’m hoping to join back in next year.

You guys are awesome!

Thanks Coobs! It's nice to help put this all together and help all these excellent charities get some well deserved funds.

Here are your assignments - your name is first, followed by the charity you've been assigned and who requested it (e.g. I am donating to KC's charity "Answer the Call" this year).

As in years past, please post some indication here once you've made your donation. Suggested amount is $25 but you're welcome of course to give more.

Thanks all!
