I don't understand why we can't have nice things.

I like Dalvin Cook in the #33. I think running backs look best in the 32,33 and 34 numbers.

So, was this a good or bad evening to be a Jets fan?

Walked in the house from dinner out to see this happen. Hubby was watching.

Holy mackerel

UConn football starting quarterback Joseph Fagnano who injured his right shoulder in the second quarter of the Huskies' loss to Georgia State in Atlanta Saturday, is out for the season, coach Jim Mora said on Tuesday. He will have surgery Friday.

Looks like my fandom is dangerous to quarterbacks.

I think it's more likely that football is dangerous to football players.

As an optimist

Rodgers is 39 and was coming off a bad season. Great success was not a given

Zach Wilson was decent after the initial pick. He was 14-21 with one pick and one TD

Rodgers will be on the sidelines as a QB whisperer for whoever does play QB for the Jets

Green Bay does not get the 2024 Jets #1 pick

Best I can do

I mean, Rodgers won the MVP in two of the past three years. Last year was a down year by Rodgers' standards, but much better than anything the Jets have had in a while. Hardly bad.

Anybody catch the line Gary threw out last night (one he attributed to a NYJ fan friend)?
That the Jets' lone Super Bowl is closer in time to WWI than it is to today.

Yeah, it sucks, but ... I'm not sure I get all the WOWs from Keith when discussing how long it's been since this team or that team won a championship.

With leagues of 30 or more teams, the average team is going to win once every 30 or so years. That's a lifetime for some. By basic random distribution of outcomes, somebody in every league is probably going to be sitting on 50 years or more without a parade.

It may be pure luck on the field or it may mean pure luck in the management, but there ain't no curse. If you get involved with a team, just be forewarned that you can wait an awful long time for your team to win the last game of the season. And for God's sake, try to find a way to be happy anyway.

A Wisconsin bar offered free drinks if the Jets lost. When Rodgers went down, there were cheers and the patrons figured they'd have free drinks all evening.

So they thought....

I'm the most pessimistic and soured (for many reasons) Jets fan
here. If that's not possible, I'm a solid tie...

I think the Jets will be fine this year with Zach at the helm, and,
wait for it... they will win the division by a good two games.

That is all.

That's possible. But the conversation still just changed from "can they win a Superbowl?" to "Can they make the playoffs?"

I'll give ya that on 9/13 lol. I wasn't big on Rodgers, felt
gimmicky to me. But whatever. Doesn't matter now.

Let's go Zach!

I always thought the Rogers = SB was both premature and wildly optimistic to begin with. I'm not sure that it even occurred to
some NYJ fans that it wasn't a foregone conclusion.

Apparently ESPN's Mike Greenberg, noted insane Jet fan, had trouble "even getting through" his Monday monologue on his
daily show on Monday, something that's either an act that he thinks he's required to play, or it's a case of childish hero worship
that's WAY over the top for a 50-something y/o who purports to be a professional about these things.
