Threads has turned into a bit of a dump , I see a lot of scantily clad women that I don't follow pass my timeline, although my bird images get some good traction

That's the way things is these days. A lot of organizations build all sorts of infrastructure while not being clear on what they're trying to do. Boston Chicken, Sea-World, The US Drug Enforcement Agency ... .

Mission ambiguity will kill ya.

I was part of a consulting team that was called in to evaluate their technology plan.
We looked at their plan and compared it with their business plan (which at the time was to add 1500 domestic and 2500 international locations).
They wanted a patchwork, incremental solution. We realized they'd need a completely new platform and architecture.
I told them that.
They decided to patchwork it out.
We declined the project.
Six months later, I read that they had declared Chapter 11 and applied for reorganization as Boston Market (to get new financing). The reason Wall Street analysts gave was "Their growth exceeded the technology capabilities to support that growth".
We had that feeling of "We told ya' so".
Later
I blame Susan Collins
"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in a large group". George Carlin
I have never insulted anyone. I simply describe them, accurately.
