Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is the kind of thing Trump would stage to impress his followers with how tough he is.
He is striking a pretty defiant pose in the above photo. However, Mr. draft dodger has always hit me as someone who likes to talk tough, but would be the first person to hide under a table when a fight breaks out. If shoots were fired at a Trump rally, I fully expect he would be the first one to cower behind his Secret Service agents or a table. Then I would expect him to bluster bravado what a coward the responsible individual was and how he (Trump) would kick his ass if given the opportunity.

If that many shots were fired, where are the other bullets; who else got hit?
I heard on ABC that the Secret Service immediately apprehended someone and rushed them away.
Now his followers will be able to spin this any way they want - the defiant hero, it must have been an illegal alien, it must have been a (fill in your own group here).
My immediate thoughts:
1) They missed. MAGA folks wouldn't have.
2) Did they check Melania for a weapon?
3) It was a set-up to give him campaigning points- not blood but hair dye.
4) Biden had better watch out.
And after a few minutes,
5) He's been fucking Jodie Foster?

Awful. I heard a photographer was shot and will not survive.

I totally think this was staged. Why didn’t the SS cover him up immediately? Instead his head was exposed and he was just standing there. The fist pump, the flag in the background, it just all seems to point to it being staged.

I'm not very political, but it seems like Democrats are very violent. I remember in 2020 all the cities were being burnt down by them, and now they're trying to assassinate presidential candidates. Very scary!

When I made the comment that it was the kind of thing I would expect Trump to stage, it was my initial reaction to the thread title "Gunshots at Trump Rally" with the picture of Trump fist pumping under an American flag. My first reaction upon seeing that minimal data, was that "I wouldn't put it past him to have staged it." Obviously, that was incorrect. It was yet another example of the far too common gun violence in our country. I pray for those killed and injured by this senseless act.
Will it cause Congress to wake up and do something to strengthen gun control laws and limit (or ban) the accessibility of semi-automatic weapons? I seriously doubt it.

Republican responses to gun violence always involve getting more guns in more places.
Jury's still out on the shooter's motivations. Apparently a registered Republican, though, so that's interesting. Also had bomb-making equipment at home, so he seems like a good 'ol 'Murcan boy.
