I’m at a concert tonight, basking in 1980s rawk with Ace Frehley of Kiss and Stephen Pearcy, formally of Ratt.
Lots of people wearing Kiss and Ace gear, no one wearing Ratt stuff. If Ace goes first - the billing is unclear - this place is gonna clear out!
It’s a bad sign for Ratt when its merch table has a big sign reading “Cash or Venmo only!” At least Ace takes cards!

Ace played first! He was good! A mixture of Kiss and solo stuff - but heavier on Kiss. Was surprised he did only one song from his last album, which is strong. He pulled out his classic stage stuff, such as the guitar with the flashing lights for New York Groove and the smoking guitar, which fired up for two songs.
My first show at this venue - a casino. The sound was actually really clear. One of the best-sounding shows I’ve been too in a long time.
The crowd, as you can imagine, skewed on the older side.
A lot of people are leaving but I can’t tell if they are just going to the game floor or heading out for good.
A fun night. A lot of nostalgia. Ace is in his 70s, so you gotta see these 1970s and 1980s guys when you can!
OE: I just met Ace’s bass player and guitar player, who were really nice.
Stephen Pearcy looks like he has lived a very hard life.
