All the rat and raccoon headlines are equally hateable.

I don't know, Rats Ridiculous made me chuckle so I gave it a nod.

Some problem children here. LAST MAN STANDING is a handsome layout, but totally confusing in that it features Jeurys Familia but neither the head nor the superhead say anything explicitly about him. Is he the last man standing? Possibly, but I don't know. I have to think a bit about who he even is because the superhead is trying to tell me something about Edwin Diaz.
The intensity of Lindor's face on the three Lindy covers using a similar picture is attractive, but the strange exposure of the News and Post covers makes him look like he's wearing a ton of stage makeup and makes the setting look like a day game. It wasn't.
They also all kind of miss the story, with the Mets scratching back out of a 4-0 hole in a great game with a fantastic fire brigade of relief work, particularly Loup who was the last, along with two fine innings from Tommy Hunter, who was looking like a real find at the time. Also going disturbingly unacknowledged was rookie Patrick Mazeika coming up with the walkoff dribbler in his third MLB game.
We didn't yet quite know just how bad (fucking awful) the 2021 Diamondbacks were, so this felt like a real turnaround of a win.
Unless you've got new rat developments, leave that shit out. New day, new story.
