The eighth year of the Tabloid Cover Derby is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 1.

There will be at least 26 first-round polls this year. Maybe one or two more if the Mets make enough back pages over the next six weeks or so. (Last year there were 24 polls in the first round.)

Format will remain the same. The winning cover, as always, will go to Stockholm. The player featured on the winning cover will get a gigantic box of Rice-A-Roni.

The stakes, obviously, could not be any higher. You won't want to miss it!

The team of Tabloid Cover Derby Models got together recently to practice their placard-holding skills. This is the first time that all seven have been in the same place at the same time!
