The graphic above on the previous page with last year's unis is how I would tier them in terms of successful execution. Tier 1) Boston and Miami T2) Sox, Cubs, DBags T3) Giants, Dodgers

I'd put the Nats in Tier 1.

I agree the Dodgers were the laziest, most unimaginative submission. That they said it was a nod to Fernando and their Latino fans was even more aggravating because they put no new effort into this concept and basically copied their "Hispanic heritage night" homework and re-submitted it on a different assignment. F-, guys.

They can get double use out of those by wearing them on Pride Night too.

Wow! Nice job digging up something I don't even remember writing. Are these actual City Connect unis for the Mets?

Well, if that design exists, clearly in this image it's being placed over that shirt via digital template, because it'd be hard to get that chestplate any more off-center.

I think I was imagining neon stripes going down the side of the uniform so that the players would resemble the neon figures on Shea when seen in profile.

No. This is a fan's rendering. He's on twitter. I think he got picked up by the Mets to work on their website. Some of his stuff is really cool.

I like it. I do hope that the eventual design includes the Unisphere.

Yeah, I've been thinking that the Mets should lean into the idea of the 7 train ("The International Express") when their City Connect comes around.

So sorta what Queensboro FC did with the colors, and this guy did with the "Queens"--but be literal and make the jersey front read Willets Point-Mets in the same subway font. Numbers in magenta circles on the back, Unisphere patch.

Something along these lines! Black jersey with the white letters -- not sure if it would say Queens or New York, but hopefully not Flushing -- with the player numbers in the colored circles, one numeral per circle, under the writing. Unisphere patch on the sleeve and/or on the cap!

The Q should totally be outlined in yella.

Doing the digits outlined in the proper color for the corresponding train would be fun, if somewhat less uniform. Of course, there is no 0 train.

If there was a jersey that said "Mets - Willets Point" across the chest I would be obligated to purchase one.

That would be on the Marvel Comics Connect uniforms.

I ❤️ the grill patch. I think the 414 inside MKE is clunky but I get the industry feel they were going for. Jersey itself, eh. Powder blue is nice but who cares. http://brewers.com/cityconnect

I’m in Milwaukee and we had our stadium tour planned for yesterday morning, not realizing the team was unveiling the City Connect uniforms that day. The team had many mannequins on display and cutouts of some of the players.

People seemed to like them. Lots of activity in the store. I bought a cap and a bunch of people asked me about it during our other adventures.

Great stadium tour, by the way!

As much as I reject the cartel-ized standardization of uniform statements being made across the board for all teams, watering down what any one team stands for, the Toronto Blue Jays hat recently launched as part of the 2022 July 4th weekend collection has to be some sort of new low in ridiculousment.

There's no way these are actually going to make it onto the field, is there?

I really liked the last three versions of the Independence Day caps. But these are just awful.

Last I heard.

More importantly, they represent Canadian people.

The Rangers dropped their City Connect this morning and I think they look pretty damn great. I'm not sure how much I dig the dark pants, but everything else looks killer.

I hope the Mets go with either the Unisphere or the blue and orange tiles that used to adorn Shea Stadium.

Either that, or blood seeping through a bandage.
