Schaefer year NINETEEN!
And here we go again! Schaefer is the Tabloid Cover Derby's less popular little brother, but it keeps chugging along. Voters will vote, votes will be tallied, awards will be announced, and custom Topps baseball cards will be presented.

Very happy about this.
All the 20 or so who can predict the Mets should take two minutes out of
their day and try to dole out Shaeffer suds more regularly in 2023.
Wow, nineteen years. That's like almost a third of my life.

Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
For whatever reason, Baseball Reference is always slow out of the gate at the beginning of each season. The March 30 box score is, therefore, not yet available, so Schaefer voting will also be delayed. Hang in there! I know how eager everyone is to participate!

I think we may have to be careful not to conflate David Robertson and David Peterson when voting.

Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
Vote for that May 12 game. No way is Megill the PotG that day. Don't let that happen!
Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
You gave Megill zero. Really?
I thought was decent that day

No idea why you're cherry-picking that game. Seven voters gave him sips
between 2.00-3.00. In many wins, I vote for the starter last and if I pour
a little heavy it's to get to ten and just be nice.
Zero seems unnecessarily chintzy to me.

OK, but I'm still a good person!
Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
I don't know what that means or why you decided to flip that card.
We were talking about Schaefer votes for Megill. Your zero votes.

Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
It's levity. I don't really have that much self-image on the line in the 5/12 PotG vote.
I just meant to encourage voting.

Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
Why does Megill not deserve at least .25 votes?
I think in 20 years you've answered a direct question from me like
maybe five times... probably less...

Re: Schaefer year NINETEEN!
That's not true.
I'm happy to answer directly Megill deserved no support from me, to my thinking, because he didn't pitch effectively. I think his contribution was something akin to a wash. He wasn't overall bad, just a wash.
I didn't think you were seriously making issue of my vote.
