Someone told me in a bar on Saturday night that he is a monthly
contributor to Trump and encouraged me to do so. I told him my
charitable funds are limited and if I did I'd have to stop sending
Santa Claus my monthly contributions to The Reindeer Food and
Wellness Foundation. It took him ten seconds, and he got that I
was mocking him. I was ready for him taking a swing at me but
he stumbled off to bother someone else...

Besides the fact that he is a racist, egomaniacal, unscrupulous, idiot; I just don't understand all these middle class and lower middle class people contributing money to Trump's legal fund/campaign fund/lining his pockets fund when he is a multi-millionaire.

He certainly wouldn't contribute a penny to any of them if they were in dire need financially for some reason.

Trump Is Fleecing the Rubes of Every Dime

Some day, historians are going to be baffled by how he maintained a nationwide universe of marks when the con is such an obvious one.

Excerpt:
Before we move along to discussing why so many of our fellow citizens are willing to buy magic beans from this guy, we should ponder the degree to which he is a cheap, no-account grifter who has divided the country's population into two categories: sheep and him. He is fully intent on fleecing the rubes of every dime, and monetizing even the ancillary rights to his criminal trials.

[From the NYT:]

Mr. Trump’s legal troubles are deeply intertwined with his political campaign and fund-raising efforts. His campaign store is selling an “I Stand With Trump” T-shirt showing the date of his indictment in Manhattan (“03.30.2023”) for $36; it recently added a second shirt with his Florida indictment date (“06.08.2023”) for $38. Half the featured items on the store’s landing page show a fake mug shot and the words “not guilty.”

He's already been acquitted by his gift shop. What more do you people want, anyway?

Which brings us to those sad people who are still writing him checks. Some day, historians are going to be baffled by how he maintained a nationwide universe of marks when the con is such an obvious one. The guy sees a pile of money and he assumes that it is his to do with what he will. Of course, he would do this with his campaign money. He'd do it with a pile of $10 bills on the sidewalk. He can't be surprising anyone at this point. Anyone who sends him money sees the mark every morning in the mirror.

The Pool Shed Tapes Are a Window Into Trump's Addled Mind

More than any of his other gross transgressions, the documents case has provided the clearest route to exploring his essential nature.

Excerpt:
Ah, the classics. And it is a hoot to hear Anthony Weiner jokes from a guy who's going to owe E. Jean Carroll two casinos and a golf course for having assaulted her in a department store dressing room.

I don't think anyone was ready to hear a former president* and several other alleged adults giggling and laughing as if classified military documents were a loop of bootleg Hungarian bondage porn. And the blithe manner in which he commits crime after crime would be shocking if it came from virtually anyone else.

[***]

It turns out that, more than any of his other gross transgressions, the documents case has provided the clearest route to exploring his essential nature— a dangerous mixture of a greedy adult and a dangerous child, a grotesque of twisted, unfinished humanity. I am now of the belief that he has no idea that he was breaking the law because he simply doesn't recognize its existence. That childish giggling is a big enough window into who and what he is that we can see its bleak entirety, as blank as a desert and as dead as the moon.

He told a women's group, "They're coming to take away your washers and dryers".
And he saddest part is, they will believe him. And give him money!

Trump's such a damaged person that he really doesn't see himself breaking any laws. He's gotten away with everything since he was a teenager; he feels that laws are for other people and he can get away with anything. And if he SHOULD be caught, he can always drag things out forever and buy his way out if he has to. That's the way it's always been, and he's 77 now. He can't fathom how things could change.

I'd like to think that he lays awake at night, tossing, turning and worrying. But he probably sleeps like a baby, secure in the knowledge that he's always right and there will never be any real consequences. Such is the life of a narcissistic sociopath.

I'm more interested in the heat of the water right now, than I am in the mind of the man in it. I've had plenty of time (decades) to reflect on his character.

Judge Cannon has rejected the prosecution's request to seal the witness list.

Not only that, but he has the fanatical support of registered GOP voters. This has to embolden him to continue to brazenly commit crimes, believing that he won't suffer politically. Anybody that votes for this piece of shit is encouraging his 24/7 crime wave by essentially supporting it. A vote for Trump is a vote for his crimes.

And then they come on this fucking forum to insult us by telling us that he's a nice guy and that ex-Governor Cuomo is the worst politician in America.

They'll be discovering enormous crimes he committed 30 years after I'm dead and gone.

He has been ordered to not discuss the names (or other evidence) to anyone other than his lawyers.
Looking at Donnie's track record of public personal insults and witness and jury intimidation, and not being able to keep his mouth shut, I think he'll go public with some of it. And that contempt of court charge will put him behind bars faster than any of the current legal proceedings.

If the witness list isn't sealed, he doesn't have to discuss their names publicly in order for a target to be on their backs.

You're right. But I have a feeling ol' blabbermouth will mention at least one them. Even though the names will be available to the public, I've haven't read that the judge has rescinded the gag order on "all eevidence".

Special prosecutor Jack Smith graduated from the same high school as my son just did last month, in 1987, and also got his Bachelor's degree at SUNY Oneonta, which is where Fboy is headed to pursue his own college education.

We were in Oneonta a few weeks ago. It's amazing how much that area
has exploded since 1987.

His co-conspirators have been testifying (a nice summary):
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... skbar&ei=6
Last week, Giuliani apparently gave up his long attempts to avoid testifying before the grand jury and met with prosecutors from the special counsel's office to give a "proffer" of potential testimony he might give to the grand jury. A "proffer" is usually offered by suspects facing indictments of their own in an attempt to avoid prosecution altogether, or to make a deal with prosecutors to reduce charges. The prosecutors will not take a "proffer" from a potential witness unless that witness has evidence against the real target of their investigation, in this case, Defendant Trump.

The verbiage spewed by those jaws back in 2020 is coming back to bite his own capacious ass.
"Defendant Trump" has a nice ring to it.
I think he should be called that every time his name is mentioned.

Defendant Donald said that he received a letter stating that he is a "target" of the Jan. 6th investigation and must report before the grand Jury.

I can't believe how many people think the election was stolen, and believe whatever lies this scumbag tells. Scary. Living in these times, though, helps to understand how a Hitler or a Mussolini could come to power. Or how an Eva Peron could become a revered national legend.

I'd like to believe that in due time, history will regard the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol as an attack worse than Pearl Harbor.

It certainly won't be worse than Pearl Harbor in terms of lives lost, but in the damage done to American democracy.
