I got a seven this time. I incorrectly guessed Clint Hurdle as a Pirate/Red. One other wrong guess that I've already forgotten!

Braves/Pirates: Terry Forster 0.03% (Anyone remember when he was a "fat tub of goo"?)
Braves/Blue Jays: R.A. Dickey 7%
Braves/.300: Freddie Freeman 17%
Reds/Pirates: --
Reds/Blue Jays: --
Reds/.300: Pete Rose 35%
HOF/Pirates: Roberto Clemente 58%
HOF/Blue Jays: Roberto Alomar 18%
HOF/.300: Ted Williams 14%

I guessed John Buck as my TOR/ATL guy. He apparently never played for the Braves. He did sign a minor league deal with them but retired in 2015 before he could get on the field.

I had to settle for an eight today. For my ninth square, Royals/Indians, I was thinking Paul Byrd but went with Darrell Porter instead. Byrd would have been a correct choice, and would have given me my fifth Immaculate Grid.

Indians/Orioles: Roberto Alomar 11%
Indians/Royals: --
Indians/300 Wins: Gaylord Perry 28%
Mets/Orioles: Eddie Murray 6%
Mets/Royals: Amos Otis 2%
Mets/300 Wins: Tom Seaver 58%
Cardinals/Orioles: Todd Zeile 2%
Cardinals/Royals: Gregg Jefferies 1%
Cardinals/300 Wins: Steve Carlton 61%

I see that the one that most people got wrong was Cardinals/300 wins. I suppose a lot of guesses went to Bob Gibson, who "only" won 251 games.

Yep. I went immediately to Gibson and completely spaced on the fact that Steve Carlton was ever anything other than a Phillie.

Indians/Orioles: Albert Belle 19%
Indians/Royals: Carlos Santana 43%
Indians/300 Wins: Gaylord Perry 28%
Mets/Orioles: Mike Bordick 3%
Mets/Royals: Joe Foy 0.4%
Mets/300 Wins: Tom Seaver 58%
Cardinals/Orioles:
Cardinals/Royals: Mark Littell 0.4%
Cardinals/300 Wins:

Indians/Royals:
Indians/300 Wins: Gaylord Perry 28%
Mets/Orioles: Melvin Mora 4%
Mets/Royals: Ed Hearn 1%
Mets/300 Wins: Warren Spahn 2%
Cardinals/Orioles:
Cardinals/Royals: Darrell Porter 8%
Cardinals/300 Wins: Grover Cleveland Alexander 13%

Immaculate day for me:
Bal-Cle Jesse Orosco 0.2
Bal-NYM Joe Orsulak 0.5
Bal-STL Todd Zeile 2
Cle-KC Bud Black 1
NYM-KC Keith Miller 0.2
KC-STL Gregg Jefferies 0.9
Cle 300 Early Wynn 13
NYM 300 Warren Spahn 2
StL 300 Kid Nichols 3

Like it that I remembered Jefferies and Miller i the same trade.

I flat out blanked on the other on the entire Cleveland row and took multiple guesses and never made it to Saint Louis at all.

I was shocked Bob Feller didn't win 300 games.

I aced the board, but with a little luck. I wasn't entirely certain that Vada Pinson played for the Royals but took a chance anyways. He did. Pinson, that is. Also, my first thought for Cards 300 game winner was Bob Gibson, but I didn't put Gibby up as an answer because I assumed that he would've been the most popular answer for that box and I was going for a low rarity score. So Carlton, instead, whom I would've preferred to use for Indians 300 game winner for rarity score purposes. Turned out that Gibby was short of 300 wins, someone here posted.

From those baseball card threads I used to post, I've got six players that were one-time Mets and played for a lot of teams. That's part of my strategy: to work through those players when I'm stuck, though I haven't had to put up any of those four players as an answer yet using this method. The four players are Todd Zeile, as you mentioned, Latroy Hawkins, already noted in this thread, Octavio Dotel, Bartolo Colon, Bruce Chen and Jesse Orosco. Actually, I once used Orosco for an Imgrid answer, but I wasn't stuck or working through this methodology. The answer came to me immediately because one of the rows/columns was Cardinals and I remember once making a custom Orosco Cardinal baseball card for a baseball card thread because Orosco was a Card only briefly and there is no real Card card for Orosco, as far as I remember.

You guys who remember that Todd Zeile was an Oriole...

5 today. Got the three easy 40 HR guys, Williams, Sosa, and Thomas, though I was surprised that Ted Williams, still probably the best hitter who ever lived, a righthander hitting in a ballpark made for right handers, was only chosen by 7%.

Also remembered Tony Conigliaro (0.4%) as an Angel. My parents were on the, uh, economical side, so instead of Strat-O-Matic, I got this game called Sports Illustrated Baseball as a hand-me-down from my cousin Maxie. You chose teams instead of players. Each team had its own brochure with the players' stats for the year plus a little writeup on how the team did. It was actually a great game, though not quite at the level of Strat. My version was based on the 1970 season, so I'm good at 1970 stats, and Tony C was finishing up his all too short career in Anaheim in 1970.

Also, that was the year Ed Kranepool was sent to Tidewater. He didn't even make the 1970 Mets SI team.

Vaguely remembered that Norm Cash spent some time with the White Sox, along with 0.9% of players who got that square.

OE: Conigliaro's season with the Angels was actually '71. So I have no idea why I remembered he was an Angel.

Ted Williams was a lot of things, but a righthanded hitter he was not.

Red Sox/Angels: Frank Tanana 0.3%
Red Sox/Tigers: Yoenis Cespedes 4%
Red Sox/40HR: Ted Williams 8%
Cubs/Angels: Dave Kingman: 0.5%

I was also dumbfounded at my inability to recall Baez as a Cub/Tiger. Dammit all. If I can't think of an also-Met for these team combos I'm pretty foogered

BOS/ANA - Mo Vaughn 9%
BOS/DET -
BOS/40 HR - Yaz 4%
CHC/ANA - Kong 1%
CHC/DET -
CHC/40 HR - Ernie Banks 10%
CWS/ANA - Jose Quintana 6%
