Thanks. She was the best kind of dog.

She'd been living out of a wagon much of the last two years, as she had grown severely mobility impaired. Neighbors saw us pulling her around and concluded that we were weirdos, but our next-door neighbors gifted us with a second wagon when the first wore down, and we also eventually acquired a doggy stroller.

My condolences too. It's a hard thing to lose a pet. I have a feeling I'll be posting a similar message in this thread in the next few months.

The very cool thing to remember is that in doggy heaven pups that
show up needing assistance getting around are issued state of the art
self-guiding hover crafts.

So sorry.

I still have a hole in my heart after losing Bennie this summer.

It is just such a bad feeling

RIP little Rocket

I'd really love to dump all my photos of her onto this page.

She was awesome, but living out of a wagon the last two years didn't do her justice.

Sorry friend.

We have two strollers, one for each cat. They love getting pushed around the block. Neighborhood kids enjoy seeing them in their strollers too.

We ended up bringing Jack back to North Shore animal rescue, unfortunately we realized quickly that he was too much dog for us , he bit Lorcan several times and didn't like it when people came to visit, he lunged at them.Unfortunately we couldn't give Jack what he needed, believe me it was very emotional bringing him back but it was for the best.

Good luck to Jack. Yes, I imagine it was really hard to let go. But
I wish there were more people like you who have the sense to part
ways. Best for Jack, Lorcan and yourself all around.

Do they keep you posted on relocation or do they not do that?

I'm in touch with Chris who had initially helped us , Jack is still there, it's a no kill shelter , unfortunately when you walk in there most of the dogs look like Jack , mix of Shepard etc , hard to stand out , when I took him back it was organized the day before, I met with another person who was wonderful, we spent about an hour going over things, they really wanted my feedback to best help Jack next time , he definitely I think needs to be on a working farm type thingabd with other dogs , Jack is a great dog, great with other dogs , in many ways we failed him, he needed strong experienced owners.

So far great, although his first time in his playpen this morning he was able to climb out ! But Yoshi is everything we envisioned in having a dog. We feel like yeah we can handle him and not be scared , starting with a trainer this weekend

He’s a sweetie!

North Shore Animal League is very respectable and Jack will get every chance at his perfect home. It’s too bad it didn’t work out but your honesty and true dedication in trying to make it work was valuable to him I’m sure!

This little fluff of cat we got from a friend during the pandemic (found alone along a creek) was a demonic holy terror the first few weeks we had her.I honestly almost gave up on her several times, although as a fluffy white fur ball I found her utterly enchanting.
Full of fleas, I’d bathe her several times a day just for the pure joy of holding this sweet little body in a tea towel while she dried. Plus the added advantage of immobilizing her claws, lol.

I finally put her in a cage and was ‘relaxing’ in the living room when suddenly I did a double take as she nonchalantly walked by.
She was so tiny she slipped between the slats.

Three years later she’s our source of constant joy (though it was hard won on both sides), and our darling of our five remaining cat children.
