Guess that Met
Re: Guess that Met
Well, number 4 is Lorn Brown.
Re: Guess that Met
Lorn Brown is correct!
1. My career [was] just [20] games
over 2 seasons, not the same.
The roster was filled with others the same
not position or talent, by that I mean name.

Re: Guess that Met
While "I got in a funk and then my career was sunk" applies to almost everybody, Cuba and 2006 suggest that #4 is Alay Soler.

Bobby M. Jones is a great guess, but incorrect. This man is of Hispanic descent and debuted for the Mets in 2007.

There are too many to chose from in #5! LOL
Re: Guess that Met
Number 4 is neither Swoboda or Allen. It might have been an outfielder who had one big year in New York. As for number 5, he came around about the same time as other pitching greats like Jeff D'Amico and John Thomson.

Neither Straw, though he does fit the addictions clue, nor Beltran…and Beltran ended as an Astro
Claudell Washington wasn’t really BIG in NY…
Returned as a MFY doesn’t necessarily mean as a player?
Re: Guess that Met
He was an expert at hitting triples in the 1990s, leading the league in that category multiple times. And he did return to NY as a player, in the Bronx, but briefly.
