I think he's praising former Monkee Peter Noone.

Thoughts on this rational?
"Credibly accused" of domestic violence seems like an even tougher line to draw than "who really used PEDS?"

Noone was a Herman's Hermit, not a Monkee.
But you're in the right genre and era so we're giving you partial credit.

I've been checking out the number of guys not getting much support. It looks like he won't get in, but DANG , someone who could put up Matt Holliday - type numbers would look great in the OF for the Mets this year.
Over 15 years, his 162 game averages were:
40(2B) 3(3B) 27(HR) 104(RBI) .299/.379/.510/.889 132(OBS+)

One of those really good, but not HOF caliber, players.

Here is my 2024 BBWAA Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. Seven players made my cut. I don’t expect more than three or four to get the required 75% vote for induction.
I think three or four is wildly optimistic. I’m predicting Beltre and maybe Helton - but hoping for Mauer, Wagner and Beltran.

Irish, thank you for all the updates!
