Re: Believe the Hype
I guess I should book my audition now, although I'm a bit insulted that I would even need to audition. 😠
Re: Believe the Hype

"It Ain't About the Sneakers" would make a GREAT audition piece.

Re: Believe the Hype
I like Steve Cohen. I especially like his big, fat wallet. But there's enough of a record now, where I'd say Cohen's got more Mets misses than hits.

Re: Believe the Hype
I'm envisioning a NBA-style dance crew that we see during timeouts and half-time, and wonder how that works in baseball? I think of myself as a cooler bro in his late 40s so obviously I'm painfully uncool and woefully out of touch. That said, is hip-hop dance catering to people of a certain age demographic? Is that popular with "the youth"? Do I need to download TikTok??

Re: Believe the Hype
buncha old white folks out here complaining about something the kids (might) be into.
i mean, it seems like the time for a hype crew was back in the late 80s, maybe early 90s, but fucking hell, that's when it was time for me, too.
i'm a goddamned dad in my mid 40s. what the fuck do i know about what the youths are into?

Go back to allowing banners as an outlet for self expression. Fans of all ages can participate.

Re: Believe the Hype
Sounds like it would be fun for the younger crowd who any game I've been at are nearly always up dancing etc at appropriate times , or going crazy when they are shooting free tees into the crowd
Re: Believe the Hype
We've noticed at Syracuse football & basketball games that in addition to cheerleading squads, they now also have dance groups. They wear bootie shorts and shake what God gave em. It's great.

Save a bullet for me, too.

Re: Believe the Hype
I hope it's cool but it feels like a polo and khaki attempt at connecting with young people. Prove me wrong, Mets!
