Mike Remlinger, Edgardo Alfonzo, Dwight Gooden and Carlos Delgado are correct!

1. I played two years with the Mets
And I didn't do too great
My offensive skills were lacking
That goes without debate

At second base I played
And boy, did the Mets fleece me
I hit only .227
And they dared to release me

Who am I?

Hint: Debuted with the Mets in 2003.
Hint: Was the Mets 5th round pick in 2001.

Howard Johnson hit 192 home runs with the Mets, but less than 130 came when he was playing third base, so he is incorrect. The correct answer might or might not be the other famous Mets third baseman.
